Bad place overall
Vehicle Cleaner (Current Employee) - Bedford - 18 May 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeed4AM finish, 8 hours work for £11PH. No one knows how to do the job except 1 or 2 people. Management hates cleaners. Have to work 8 nights in a row, management regards cleaners as 10 a penny. There is absolutely no life/work balance. You work 2 weekends on and 2 off. However, you really only get 1 weekend off as the other is just a Sunday off. The Saturday before, you work. So once you get home and sleep, that's the Sunday gone. Originally the union tried to get night cleaners £12PH and was told be high ups, that they wasn't worth it.
Pros
The engineers
Cons
Late finishes for terrible pay. Managers. No life just work.

You MUST be very flexible
Bus Driver (Former Employee) - Fife - 18 May 2022
I predominantly enjoyed my time here, but like all/most jobs it does have its downs,I wouldn't say its exactly and completely family friendly because the shifts and rotas are all over the place! But some drivers with young families do manage to balance family/work life out,the first 6 months can be a bit stressful because if you have never done this kind of work before there is a fair bit to learn..but once you know your way around the ticket machine and routes etc..your sitting on your butt and earning decent cash 💸 💰 The other drivers are mostly good folk and easy to get along with! Working with the public can be hard sometimes, but there are more good folk than bad folk! Its the other road users that cause issues really... But go to work and keep your head down and do what's asked of you and you will get along just fine! The disciplinary process can be a bit draconian sometimes... Its easy to step over the line with lots and lots and lots and lots of ways to find yourself disciplined, perhaps it's all a learning process but sometimes where an official warning is given a mere stern word would suffice..but hey!it's not called work for nothing eh...

Used to be good
PCV Driver (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 17 May 2022
The company is more concerned with virtue signalling and pushing box tickers into higher positions even if they aren't good at their job, management are bullies and have it out for you if you aren't scared of them.
Pros
Free travel
Cons
Everything, poor shift patterns, no life work balance, underpaid, c**p management

Easy work
Bus Driver (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 12 May 2022
Once trained you're your own boss really. The jobs as easy or as hard as you make it. Lots of policies and procedures to adhere to. Plenty of opportunities to work at other places or special events.

Bus Driver (Former Employee) - Sheffield - 11 May 2022
Was here for 9 years the place wanted me to work all hours under sun the management got face on if you dint work your day off and if you needed a day off they would nag you untill you gave in they expect you to book a hospital appointment on your day off knowing that you might not be able to get it and when you wanted to book your holiday wow do it in there time or your not going away but more of less the higher management are a set of w**ker and pay there staff penny’s when there taking stupid monies home and we’re struggling to pay for things there living the high life and poor driver are working the hours just to get by and that’s just the tip of the ice Berg wouldn’t recommend anyone working for this company they are s**t also after 9 year and so many months of my service as a driver and office staff when I left it’s like I ment nothing to them stay clear 100% will never go back rather be on job secker that’s a fact

Easy to get into. Company pay to put you through test.
Bus Driver (Former Employee) - Arbroath, Angus - 10 May 2022
Great for anyone with a drivers licence and no qualifications. Plenty of overtime available. Buses rather unreliable. Various rotas to to apply for, back shifts, X7, high earner and part-time.

Poor work life balance
Depot Supervisor (Current Employee) - Oxford - 10 May 2022
No work life balance, change shifts at a week's notice, poor holiday policy, staff canteen over priced, no regular work pattern, vehicles are poorly maintained and has a really depressing atmosphere.

Could be great, but management gets in the way
Driver (Current Employee) - Gloucester, Gloucestershire - 8 May 2022
There could be a million ways that this could be the best job on offer.. however due to the micromanagement that exists and there being a culture of taking pleasure in making a driver's life difficult for making an honest mistake. Management would rather be autocratic and damaging to a driver's self worth instead of showing any kind of consideration or understanding.
Pros
Time alone to yourself, Driving buses
Cons
Management interference

Pish
PSV Mechanic (Former Employee) - Aberdeen - 6 May 2022
Would not recommend, management do not appreciate you at all, and have zero consideration for your health and well-being, expected to repair vehicles in minutes without parts, also expect you to put your own life in danger to repair a vehicle and expect you to break company policy while out on breakdowns just to get the vehicle back.

Stageciach Perth ..Don't go there
Bus Driver/Operator (Former Employee) - Perth - 6 May 2022
Long hours going out on routes with not enough training. Work life balance non existent. Most management not bothered about employees..very much a case of if your face fits...Not to mention all the stress it puts you and your family through.. ohh and did mention favouritism full of it .. Management only bothered about getting buses out .So it looks good for the depot
Pros
Free bus travel
Cons
Everything

Paid training and job security
Bus Driver (Current Employee) - Chichester - 5 May 2022
People do it as something to try and end up staying. Plenty of overtime available, earliest shift was 0330 start and my latest was 0130 finish on different Rita’s obviously. If your willing to put the hours in then you can get really good money, not ideal if you have young kids who want to see you before bed and when they wake up . Join the Union, couple of pounds a week and they will represent you in any allegations/disciplinary. You will have customer lie about you or get free tickets, have occasional damage to buses

Punishing hours and pressure to drive too fast
bus driver (Former Employee) - Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire - 29 April 2022
Not a good job if you don't like the idea of driving at maximum legal speed all the time to keep to schedule. Long unpaid compulsory breaks between long spells of driving makes hours very unsocial.

Bus drivers
Bus Driver (Former Employee) - Mansfield - 28 April 2022
Stagecoach is the worst company I have ever worked for. Management is so poor no support just a constant negative culture. Work life balance is so poor. Buses were dirty poorly maintained. Constant complaining from customers aimed at drivers for management decisions.
Pros
Job security
Cons
Everything

Great place to work
PCV Driver (Former Employee) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - 27 April 2022
Great place to work! Can be somewhat stressful at times. Most Sundays off, and there is flexibility with the rosters. I was on the 94 route in Cheltenham permanently and that suited me well.
