Security Officer in Departures
on 25 August 2022
Great job, great people to work with, good company benefits, shift pattern really poor, no life work balance.
Initial interview via Zoom straight forward. Background checks went on for weeks, interview in October, started in January. Was told 2 weeks training followed by 3 months probation. I was not told until 1st day that we had a test to do on day 4 and if we failed we would not go any further and be shown door. I was fortunate and was 1 of 2 from 12 who got through. The rest did not, there were people who had left full time jobs and were not told this during the interview. When i had my zoom meeting interview i was told rotating shift, when i started i was told i was on permament earlys, starting at 3 am. However I loved the job, the staff are great and make you feel like one of he team from day one. The line managers are very helpfull and supportive and give you feed back. Somthing different happens every day and you feel that you are making a difference, giving people reasurance that safety is paramount. If your a people person you get to meet so many different characters, and challanges, i really miss working as a security officer. Passenger Service Assistant in Unknown

Stressful and no support from management
Staff are okay to work with however management don't care about their staff doing stressful jobs or nothing. I enjoyed my job however my ex was harassing me and the company didn't care that he made me feel uncomfortable Confirm with the flight crew fuel loads in Stansted Airport

Responsibility intense aircraft refuelling
Full training is given in every aspect relating to the job , different shift patterns to cover 24/7 operation not the best work life balance but the job is not hard physical work but is quite intense during busy periods, there is no set time for breaks just taken when quieter periods allow , working as a team member is a must although when you are airside fuelling you are working on your own initiative, health and safety is imperative as one mistake could be your last. Very little HGV/LGV driving required mainly small ridged vehicles although you could be required to drive an articulated tanker , job works better with no management present the workplace culture is one to get used to ! . Working outside in the winter is horrid but the summer is gorgeous Covid admin in London

Promotion
He who shouts loudest will go a long way. Not promoted on ability but on smoking club ethics. Someone that is lazy will succeed in this job. Some really great people here they know who they are. WFM Planning/Scheduling Analyst - Temporary Contract in Stansted, Essex

depends where you work
I couldn't wait to start working for this company, a professional well know brand, so I thought how wrong was I. You are not treated as a human being. You are constantly being shouted down, the training is appalling by a person who has little or no peoples skills. Obliviously likes to make her feel better. Its all about who you know and who you kiss rs to, the more the better, not at how good you are doing the job. Good luck to anyone thinking of working for this company and if you want to be bullied.
