It's alot like being self employed.Been on jobs struggling and had someone with kore expierence sent out to me within the hour.Service desk are understanding and always up for a laugh.Long hours though the week but this was explained to me and was told straight about the pros and cons on interview.Never earned money like I have in this place. Just cracknon woth the job and had 2 pay rises in 3 months so hard was is noticed and acknowledged.Don't see why this place gets such bad reviews?Best job I've had and I'll be sticking around for a song as they'll have me.Management answer the phone anytime and if you're really not sure on a job they'll come out and get stuck in with you. Good company to work forSeems people dint know what abit of hard work is these days

If you want a company that sends you miles away day in day out, deduct your travel time and send you out in unstocked vans, then this company's for you. Will find any way shape or form to make sure when you leave that you end up without any money and struggle.A terrible company.

It’s all take take take they don’t care about you the office staff are clueless and management don’t care drive ridiculous amount of hours and end up stuck on contracts miles away all day doing contracts that don’t need to be done

Working for Steve Caunce Ltd there is always something new to keep me busy and feeling challenged. I've learned so much from so many people here and genuinely believe that this company cares about us as colleagues.The management is great, they care about staffs well being and are always approachable.I've been with the business for some time, and been through many changes which have constantly improved our ways of working, the hardest part of the job can be the amount of work to do, but that's simply a reflection of the company's reputation.

Varied and interesting work helps you build up skills and confidence. Good two way relationship with management who are always willing to listen to new ideas. Good camaraderie between office staff and engineers on the the road. There are deadlines to meet but you get a lot of job satisfaction from helping customers.

Busy but Rewarding

I have been a long term employee for many years and although it can be stressful at times as it can be very busy, I enjoy working here and find it very fulfilling.Management are fair and very approachable should you have any issues at all, I find if you are willing to put the effort in then you will get the same back and be rewarded.Department in which I work is very friendly and we all get along very well.

I have had some seriously bad jobs in my time but this place is an absolute joke!!! Didnt last a week at the place, how guys have been there years is beyond me

I have worked at the company for many years and have been encouraged to progress with my academic studies and have always had support from Management with any personal matters. So long as you are willing to commit to the company and your work they will do the same back.

Dont Bother

terrible company, made a massive mistake leaving a reputable drainage company in order to work for cance. Found most of the equipment in very poor condition and dangerous to use and the fact that to "earn a bonus" you where expected to invent jobs like patching and dig work all at the customers expense.

I have had some bad jobs.... but this, this is the worst by far!

Just awful, avoid it at all costs.. They have you working stupid and very long hours with very little warning, so having a social life is completely out the question. The managers haven't a clue what day it is, neither does anyone in the office. You end up being a little run around for the 'first men' and you get treated and spoken too like scum.. (not all first men, but most) There's very little to no structural training. They give you a booklet to fill out once with your first men once you have better knowledge, however the first men can never be bothered to go through it with you.. so you have got to train yourself basically. They have you working all over the country with little to zero notice. So if you was working in Scotland or London for example, you have to be there for 8am. that means setting off at 4 (sometimes earlier) to get there for then. not good if you finish your previous shift at 6 or 7 pm. Once you're away, there's a chance you'll be staying out all week.. not good if you have dependents or a partner, kiss goodbye to your life in other words... I could go on and on... I'm not saying your experience will be like this, but mine was and I have heard other stories to which are pretty much the same as mine. My advise would be to stay clear, much easier, sociable and better paid jobs out there.

not nice staff and felt bullied by a few members of staff and not long enough deadlines I was given 700 drawings to be completed in under 2 months and wasn't possible only work 9 - 5 5 days a week

Very high employee turnover

Average company to work for. Staff not looked after very well, sent all over the country at the drop of a hat without much consideration or notice. Lone working most days so can be a very difficult job to do on your own, sometimes impossible.
