Unappreciated
Not great company to work for. Not great management as a whole. Unappreciated and underpaid job. Not flexible with any time off at all. Deny most holidays even in advance. Can’t ask for a day off if needed. A lot expected with low staff and barely get breaks as busy all day. Employ management from outside business who were not experienced in rolls rather than internal progression and looking after...

Over worked
The staff that are hard working day in and day out are never appreciated, due to this all the really good staff leave. The shifts aren’t shared equally as some seem to get what they ask for like every weekend off when they should work ever other one. The atmosphere, isn’t good this includes some staff having a private whats app group to discuss staff over on it by undermining them. The pay rate is...

Good place to work
I liked working at Stikes, unfortunately I had to leave for health reasons, but would go back tomorrow if the job becomes available. My advice would be to take time to get to know the people, they are mainly long term Employees and can be set in their ways, but once accepted they tend to be great.High turnover though of the younger staff mainly due to them using the work as a fill in job.Managem...

Decent at first glance, 2.5 stars
I worked in the cafe part-time, for around 18 months whilst studying. Lovely place to be in (as a customer), the garden centre is marvellous. The company itself is good. Good first job whilst studying. Although it’s nice from the outside, working in the cafe sucks. Overworked and underpaid, you’re running around all day and may or may not get a break. Tasks include scraping food waste from plate...

Covid Safety in the work environment.
Just want to thank the management for making our working environment so safe for all the staff and customers. They have put ourselves and customers as a priority. The decrease in the menu has now made me realise why that decision was taken, and hats off to all of your thinking. A happy chef.
