Friendly and flexible hours

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Flexible and Relaxed atmosphere to work in. Hands on management and outside yard. Some problems with buses due to age of vehicle. Plenty of overtime available and easy to make £700 per week if you put in the hours.

Pros

Fuel buses and change duties at short notice

Cons

Same as above if you don’t like variety

It was the worst experience I have had, management have no respect for their staff, The job was ok I couldn’t see my colleagues being treated the way they did was shocking !! Which is why I left and I stated it in my resignation letter.

Good for myself

I am happy with the contract I am on, Monday to Fridays and I have the weekends off. I can take days off when I wish, take holidays when it’s suitable for me. I have established myself for reliability, punctuality and attendance and as a result, always given regular work with the hours I opt for. I have been with the company for 9 months plus and definitely a thumbs up. Office staff excellent

Pros

Flexibility

Cons

None I can think of

Great way to help others in need

I joined this job for money but now I love it as I can just do what I love and work with people and buses. I can reach my goals to show my efforts of commuting every time im needed on a rail replacement and just shows my determination to get up at 2-5am to get to work on time.

Pros

Great wage

Cons

Long hours

Easy going

The job is easy to do and the only hard thing to do is to remember the places so you can guide the people and the bus drivers. The management there is alright and the most enjoyable is working with other people.

Fun, productive

In short, a typical day as the supervisor at Sullivan Buses would be starting at early hours such as 5am and completing the paperwork through out the day whilst managing other tasks until mid afternoon. Working out in the open outside the station/ bus stop enables me to experience work in a different environment which I enjoy doing. Meeting new people and working in certain conditions makes me more determined to work well under pressure and multitasking, which I also like accomplishing. I have the responsibility of the operations of the bus service we run - the timings are crucial and ensuring the buses have met the required measurements is something I can cope with well. The hardest part of my job is probably not having the buses arriving on time due to unforeseen circumstances which is something not in my control.

Pros

Meeting new people all the time

Cons

Long hours

Fast paced and interesting workplace

Our job requires us to be moved from different locations all over London depending on the rail replacement route. As a supervisor our start time begins very early in the morning at 4/5 am for the first train. I have learned to be more disciplined with my time and management of fellow co workers in order to run the service as smoothly as possible. Our co workers are very diverse with age and race which makes it very enjoyable to meet to new people. The hardest pert of the job is waking up so early in the morning and standing outdoors for the entire shift however the people I have worked with have made this much more enjoyable.

A good working environment

Monday to Friday 8-4 pm. Teamwork excellent and even working on my own was easily handled. The owner and directors of the company were easy to approach. Colleagues were always helpful. Lunch time was always a treat.
