Dementia Care Assistant in Esher
on 6 June 2022
the management were mostly ok. Residents were lovely, which resulted in good job satisfaction. Team mostly where good. There were the few staff who pulled their weight more then others, as in any job. It is Hard work, full on. No day ever the same.

Some nice staff but poor management .
Lovely residents and a lovely care home .I volunteered for some time and then worked part time and still volunteered.Care staff worked very hard it was a shame as they were always short staffed .I enjoyed helping and spending time with the residents but found the more I did the more they wanted and in the end I lost interest as I didn't rate the management .
Care Assistant in Southampton

Hard work but rewarding
As with all care work it was hard and busy but most of the time very rewarding. It is monotonous but routines are. A lot of paperwork involved which could make a shift last longer. Most employees were great but I felt that management moved slow with removing poor working staff. Overall I would work here again.
Health Care Assistant in Bournemouth

Not a dream job for sure, but pays well
Plenty of support at the beginning, leads can be a pain sometimes. Not many opportunities to progress unless you’ve got the right connections. Management is not the best but nit the worst either

Interview questions

No permanent CEO when I was there. They ask about how much you care for the elderly personally and make certain you are totally committed to their care and experienced in care work. Also look for enthusiasm and motivation. And dedication.
