Fun work place. Family atmosphere. All staff from all departments are friendly to each other. Staff are reliable and helpful. Management is OK too. Good holiday period.
Unprofessional manager, too many young ones trying to be seniors , clicky , gossiping, Not as impressive once you get past the fancy decor. Residents are nice but it's like a strange cult amongst the staff...night staff asleep on shift

Cons
Everything
Sunrise senior living poses as very high quality. This isn’t the case however. Horrendously over worked and underpaid, understaffed so it wasn’t possible to provide the level of care that they, as a business, were advertising. Not enough incontinence products, possessions going missing, cheapest products (drinks snacks etc) decanted in to fancy packaging to appear high quality. Residence pay a extortionately high price to live there, and Sunrise doesn’t even have enough carers to provide the basic level of care the residents need. Would definitely not recommend working there, and definitely wouldn’t ever recommend sending your relatives to live at any of their home locations. Really bad management-unorganised and rude. Pretending to care about their staff (having staff meetings to discuss issues) but never acting on what was promised. Especially when it was related to pay. Even though we were so underpaid and staffed- the management team were awarded large bonuses most months. Residents are absolutely not receiving the level of care they are paying for. BOYCOTT.
Pros
Bonding with residents
Cons
Understaffed, underpaid, over worked, and sickness isn’t tolerated- even if it’s contagious and you’re working with at risk clientele.

I was full time in more or less every day, management a bit unorganised and things don't get done straight away, wanted long days to suit my family life better management wasn't keen on doing this, you have to have your break at chosen times, which is not always good, very physical and demanding, you are always on the go,
Pros
Free drinks available
Cons
The hours, the work load, very demanding
Bramhall, is a fast paced environment. Lovely residents who appreciate your work. Activities are good and offer variation to the residents. The ALC is supportive and tries to develop her team. She’s been with a sunrise for a long time new to Bramhall as alc always left before. Kitchen do free lunches they are nice when your working a long day. The admins is helpful and wants to develop you with training opportunity and rewards. I hope I continue hope for a long time.
Pros
Free lunches, car park, pension, Hapi app
Cons
Long hours but tatts care
Work was excellent at sunrise couldn’t be happier with the way things are run every company has its bad and good days that’s life but i enjoyed it ...
Lovely place to work friendly staff everyone works as a team . Managers door always open if you need help with anything . Its so nice when you see the residents smile and happy and you know you are making a difference . would definitely recommend sunrise as a place to work no matter what role you do we all work together . Lots of training and always kept upto date .
Pros

Lovely place to work, great team members in different departments. Residents make your day, atmosphere is great. All like a big family
Culture much improved.
Pros
Team Work, team benefits, lovely residents and relatives.
Cons
Senior management that visit don’t acknowledge the work you do.
I have worked at Sunrise of Bramhall for nearly two years and I couldn’t ask for a better more fulfilling job. The care team are outstanding their devotion and passion shines through each and every single day. The manager is exceptional and a true leader, she is always helpful and wants everyone to excel in their roles as she knows a happy team = happy residents. All the managers are happy to work alongside the care team and are always chatting with the residents and putting their needs at the forefront of everything.
Had the misfortune of working here, quickly discovered it's got a 'cult' mentality. Bullying, two faced carers, all want to be to be top dog! Avoid at all costs!
The care staff are struggling. When they complain, they are told that the numbers of staff on the floor are safe. Not true. People are not getting good care because carers have too many residents to look after. If anything goes wrong, the carer is blamed. Seniors are stressed out. The night staff senior carer should be promoted, she’s excellent, she speaks to and treats carers like human beings. If she sees you make a mistake, she tells you nicely about your mistake and how to improve. If she was the manager, sunrise would be a good place to work. Unfortunately other people will talk down at you and make you feel like a criminal for making a mistake. Everyone there is miserable and wants to leave. The care staff are not supportive of one another, they are constantly lying on each and reporting one another for stupid things. A day at sunrise is tough. I felt like a failure everyday for putting myself in a position where I’m disrespected, unappreciated and exploited. If you want to be exploited and underpaid then sunrise would be the perfect place to work.
Staffing levels are ridiculous management couldn’t care less they just care about filling rooms and their pockets. Wellbeing are a waste of space and don’t care about the residents. I don’t know of any care assistant I’m there that isn’t currently looking for a new job. Management are bully’s and any problem always becomes the Carers fault. The place is riddled with bed bugs in residents rooms.
DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING
Was very challenging work physically, the people were really nice. At times there was not enough time to do the job the most effectively, it felt like rushing the whole time and time to really spend with the residents. I did work mostly in the morning so it could also be that.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Stressful workload
Possible been the worst place I've ever worked. Bullying new staff, senior being bossy, rude, disrespectful and nasty. was so pain to work in sunrise care home.
The hardest part of the job were the mornings. Staff was never enough and agency didn't care. Managers overlooked everything but numbers and good people would pay the price.
Absolutely horrendous!
Staff underpaid
Residents not being fully cared for
People in wheelchairs being left for long periods of tome on their own with no company
Bedroom/bathroom bins are not changed every day
Residents out back in dirty clothes the next day
Residents not receiving correct personal care
Staff are very direct and rude to residents
Rooms are overpaid
Staff on phones in residents room while assisting
Not the right equipment for some residents , so staff would then go into other residents room take their equipment and not return it
I can see how the poor care is effecting the way some residents are living and what I have experienced is discussing
Pros
None
Cons
Poor care, pay, living conditions
Sunrise is a great company in terms of staff appreciation, you get what you give. They encourage the staff to learn new skills and develop themselves. Progression is key and well practiced in Sunrise.
The residents are given high quality care and person centred care is visible. It can be tough to balance the workload and the needs of the residents but in Sunrise this is well balanced, with good support from the leadership team.
Pros
Staff appreication, resident care and a proud workforce.
Cons
n/a
Lovely place to work friendly clean and very rewarding experience. some employees are not as helpful or interested in there responsibility so the company are lucky to have the rest of the hard working team as they are there with there heart and respect for the residents and the company.
I worked for sunrise frognal for a whole two weeks, amazing from the outside but inside residents are left to fall on the floor due to lack of short staffing.. the placed is smeared with Poo and not looked after and residents with dementia are left to sit in wet pads all day!
DONT WORK THERE
Pros
Amazing residents
Cons
Stafff, building, food, people, management
