Fun work place. Family atmosphere. All staff from all departments are friendly to each other. Staff are reliable and helpful. Management is OK too. Good holiday period.

After 13.6 years at sunrise all i got was false promises all because i was not a yes miss i must of being doing my job to be there that long so sad that new staff are treated a lot better than the old staff who have the care experience and the knowledge to be great carers and leaders to progress this company because without the cares and leaders there would be No Sunrise

This is an American owned company that is corrupt right to the core. You are undervalued treated like a moron and the atmosphere is totally toxic. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Over worked and under paid cover ups and bad practice a normal thing residents not given the proper amount of time or effort needed to maintain a good standard of living. Management were awful

A good place to help develop my career. Team helped residents in a caring manor to the best of their ability. Had plenty of training which helped improve me from a care assistant to a Lead care worker.

Management never listened to staff, racism at work, staff were over worked and had little rest days. I made good friends at work which made it better.

I enjoyed my time working here. it was a positive experience with good colleagues and people who have become friends. The work was pleasurable and I got on well with the residents

Took the company ages to get me in for training, when I finally was invited to start work, training consisted of me sitting in a room alone on a computer with no one around to ask questions, didn't know when to go on break or leave etc. Found no support when made to work alone with residents. Felt very uncomfortable the whole time.

I enjoy working at Sunrise; it is a prestigious company and has very nice décor and surroundings. It is close to my home and although the grounds are fairly remote from any shops; the staff are well catered for.

Sunrise is a nice place to work but the starting hours did not suit my schedule because of child care, the rate of pay was also low and yearly wage increment was poor.

As a Lead Care manager I had to supervise the Care Team. Mentoring, educating the team members. Making sure that the highest level of care provided, and not just the residents are happy, but the team aswell. I had to up date the residents care plans daily, reviewing their care packages too. Informing and consulting with other health care professionals and other suppliers. I've grown as a person so much. My customer satisfaction skills grew and learnt to be very patience, but effective at the same way. The hardest part of the job was providing palliative care and to be a sort of advocate to our voulnerable residents and their families.
