I had an interview of Friday for the Christmas Temp position. The manager wasn't very friendly and spent about 10 minutes asking me questions. I checked my application online yesterday and it said the review status was closed. I rung up today enquiring about if the position has been filled and the manager was blunt and sounded like she would rather be doing something else than answering the phone.

They use for a day work and they say that they will get back to you and you nver get a response back and they dont even take wnyone on at the end of it .

  • Standard questions such as “give me an example of a situation where you had to resolve an issue” get to meet the boss and ask questions

  • You sit down and say your name, explain why you want the job and how you found the job as well as why you would like to work for them.

  • Had to answer a quick theory test about nails. This included naming a couple of contra indications and naming different parts of the nail.
Was asked about why I wanted to work there and what products I would sell in a manicure and a few simple scenario questions. Finally a trade test painting the nails with red polish, which were photographed and sent to head office.

Offered the job there and then but when I go contract the wage was a lot lower than advertised. I was paid more than that 5yrs ago! So disappointing.

  • Phone call from the store week or so after applying. Interview was simple asked basic customer service questions and how you deal with certain situations. Got offered the job there and then.

  • They make you stand in a room with 2 other candidates there are 3 judges and you have to sell them a membership and a product without being told any information, it was rediculous. Then you are taken to a room and asked a silly amount of questions which do my surprise I answered really well, despite having an unfriendly interviewer who looks down on you.. and after all that I was unsuccessful even tho ive been working for the past 5 years in customer related jobs.. don’t waste your time, not worth all the hassle with such a little paid job!

  • Online application
    Then video interview for Managers

Then a phone interview from HR.

They then call you back & arrange an interview date which is suitable for you & the Area Manager.

    Long winded.

But once you have a face too face interview.

I was offered it within a week.

So all in all around 3 weeks.

  • Absolutely ridiculous, you’re assessed on how you would change the shop and asked a silly amount of questions. You’re also asked to wear black so you can go on the shop floor.. which is a lot of pressure, ezpecially if you’re applying for the job at a young age.

  • Pre-interview was fine
webcam interview seemed pointless but ok

in store, interview seemed very welcoming and encouraging

but then after being promised a reply for either an acceptance or a decline I heard NOTHING back even after I called and emailed them myself i find it quite rude would have at least liked to be told that i wasn't successful but any way i have a different job now next door come in for a cuppa when ur free boss lady
