Change the manager, nice to your face stabs you in the back
I would advise monitoring this home very closely.
Read the review and actually ask yourself if you care about the people you move into the homes. If you don’t go work somewhere else where people like those aren’t being directly effected daily by your poor leadership qualities. Allow the right person with the right heart to take your place and improve staffing then be honest about what you can realistically offer these residents
Review the pay and perhaps employ a bank workforce.
Possibly build a workforce of bank contracted employees incase of sickness so that full time employees do not need to cover as current shift hours can be long. Maybe look at a review of the current salary for the team too.
Change sooner rather than later.
Keep doing what you are doing.
Listen to staff. Who are too afraid to talk incase they lose their jobs. A lot of back stabbing amongst staff a lot of back talking There's no need for it the managers are good and open to talk to and the job itself is fantastic. Staff ruin it completely.
