It was ok, when I had first started was not sure when I’d be starting and had to keep asking when & received no help at all, kept being told there may “be no vacancies”. - Working was okay at times, left to work alone most of the time but there were others there at times. - Worked in supported accommodation houses and it was okay at times, some residents were genuinely really lovely but at times when situations happened the house lead, only in one house, would not answer so had to call around & never received an apology or anything & never wrote incident reports. > Also management in houses are not so great. - To get an increase in pay rate need to complete additional training & upload video of self onto the platform which was quite long but eventually received the very small rate increase 5 months later. - For me it was quite hard to get hours, had to message the house managers for shifts if you were not sent any. Kind of like first come first serve, which was a bit exhausting at times as they even were not doing the rota yet or they’d say someone else has been booked. So I guess good if you only want to work 1 or 2 times in a week. - Lastly, most colleagues were really nice

Terrible experience

my first issue was that there was no one you could contact as managers were always off, i sometimes waited 4+ days for a reply, rate of pay is not what is says on here, i was paid LESS then non agency staff (to be precise £9) i was underpaid multiple times!!! Then it gets denied when you question themleft after a couple of months i do not recommend working for this company

Thank you for your feedback.We have spoken to the office worker who deals with our Bolton placement, and she was not made aware of these issues by the worker.As the director of Swarme my direct mobile number is available on all of our platforms. Workers and employers contact me at any time, including out of hours, therefore we are at a loss why we haven't received a call from you on these matters.We do not underpay people, and if there is a glitch in payment, we reconcile this in the next pay run; this is in no way common.People can choose a pay rate, and if they choose to increase the rate, we are happy to review this. However, there are several factors, namely feedback from the employer. Also, the employer that you are placed with must be prepared to pay the rate. I am sorry you have decided not to continue with Swarme. However, we are always available for a chat or to discuss this further.

It was okay

This job is good for students or people who want extra money on the side or work another job. Pay was okay, not the best but it was alright. Had to work in different accommodations with residents who had mental health problems, i got scared quite a few times by them, especially in Francis House(beware working in that accommodation, it’s a nightmare). Other than that be safe and if you feel scared or whatever just lock yourself in office door. Some of the residents are friendly, some are not. HR takes the long to reply aswell but my Colleagues were quite friendly. Hiring process was quite long, wasn’t getting any reassurance about when I’d be starting. Hours were good tho

Disgrace of a company

- I’m owed money from the company - You don’t get paid within 24 hours, I only received my pay for one day in August in October - I had to continuously ask for a payslip, when I did receive it it says they have paid me more than they have - They are extremely unprofessional and habitual liars - I’ve been given no terms and conditions They say you can set your own hourly rate, but will not accept anything over £8.21 - They will use you for your services then rob you Avoid the whole company!

Thank you for your feedback, which is entirely inaccurate. We are not aware of us owing anyone any money. You would have had ample time to resolve this at the time and if you genuinely believed this I doubt you would have moved on without collecting it. If you incur unauthorised expenses these will not be reimbursed by the care company. This is normal practice. Wage slips are monthly and always have been, I do not believe you worked for a full month so you would not have received more than one wage slip, possibly two depending upon your leaving date, even if you worked daily which you didn’t. The terms and conditions are on our platform which you signed up to. They are freely available to every worker. Not only that but I believe I personally downloaded and emailed them to you. You can recommend your own hourly rate but we cannot force businesses to use you at that rate, we are an introductory service. At the time the care service we were working with would not pay any higher than a certain hourly rate, this is outside of our control. From reviewing your feedback it is clear you failed to understand what type of service were actually are. I hope you have found something more to your liking however I would not recommend you continue with care work.
