In-store was Great, Higher ups are not
In-store were great to work with, including the manager, but it was frustrating communicating with anyone higher up than that. Also didn't enjoy being on a 0-hour contract as it doesn't offer good job security

Lazy, back stabbing culture
Although I met lovely people working there, the environment there is full of people will no work ethic, specially in the Head office. Where they couldn't care less about the people working hard (or hardly working, your choice, really, no one cares) at their stores. Poorly organization on almost every level. You could work with a good team, if you are lucky enough, but the incompetence is deeply rooted, and they don't even seem to care if their strategies are being profitable enough.

Fun and Relaxed
Fairly relaxed, was encouraged to be myself, quite fun and enjoyed learning about the products and showing customers how to use them. Management was so so.

Easy and Flexible (Good for short term)
Pros - Great for students as shifts are based on availability - Pay rate is above UK Living Wage - Lots of free tea during your shift - Chances to take home tea and teaware Cons - Not great if your looking for progression (opportunities do arise, however tends to have several drawbacks involved) - Higher management do not take into consideration thoughts/ideas of staff (making the working day difficult) - Besides free tea, staff perks are not great.

interesting place
after starting out as a christmas temp i enjoyed the job and the challenges that came with it along with the high level of pay (the real living wage). however, they have recently closed a lot of stores down in the uk meaning many are jobless and struggling financially. all staff in stores that arent in management are on zero hours contracts and so can go long periods without working as well as ask to cover shifts very last minute making it difficult to make plans.
