Pest control
Pest Control Technician (Former Employee) - London - 13 January 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedHard job, with some poor contracts. Managers are fair and nice. High staff turn overs. I’d recommend here as it’s a big compay compared to some of the other smaller companies
Pros
A wage
Cons

Moody managers
Administrator (Former Employee) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire - 9 August 2023
Terrible atmosphere. Very unprofessional company. Technicians are all good people, everything runs smoothly until the area manager turns up and tries to change everything.

Good managers
Key Accounts Co-Ordinator (Former Employee) - Cheltenham - 20 August 2022
Enjoyed my time working for Terminix, nice colleagues and good supportive managers. Pay was a bit disappointing but department managers fought to get this increased for all staff.
Pros
Good managers, good atmosphere
Cons
Large workloads, low pay

Poor
Pest Control Technician (Former Employee) - Guildford - 1 August 2022
Good training scheme and that’s it but you are expected to do this in your own time free of charge. Poor management and a stressful working environment. Poor pay.

Can be stressful
Technician (Former Employee) - Wales - 29 April 2022
Enjoyed working for Terminix for the last 7 years. Met some really nice people. Can be very busy and quiet stressful at times. I suppose the job hinges on how good you manager is. I had some bad ones and the job was not so good then. Pay is competitive in the industry. Do your job be a team player and you’ll enjoy it. Best thing I found was flexi working time which meant a lot. You get out what you put in I suppose.

Technician
Pest Control Technician (Former Employee) - Lincolnshire - 4 April 2022
Good company to work for, supportive management and someone always on hand to help out. Monday to Friday with overtime if you want it. Not a bad wage and can be added to via overtime.

Can be stressful but good overall
Pest Control Technician (Current Employee) - North East - 21 February 2022
Having a background in pest control, I knew what the job entailed, took a bit to adapt to terminix's way of doing things but the management have been supportive and the lads in the team are top notch. Keep your head down, do things how they are supposed to be done and you won't get hastled. Some contracts are an absolute pain to deal with, so be prepared to the QAs
Pros
Van, flexible time, supportive team
Cons
Basic salary isn't the best

Easy going work place were you are left alone to do your job aslong as you do it right
Pest Control Technician (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 20 February 2022
Good place to work. Management let you control your own diary so you can manage your own work load. Overtime is available if you want it. Bonus has just being changed so jury is still out regarding weather it will be better or worse. Good team environment if you are a team player yourself.
Pros
Manage own work load. Plenty of overtime
Cons
Bonus has just changed and no longer time and a half during the week.

It’s a Job
Technical Inspector (QA) (Former Employee) - North West - 16 February 2022
Flexi time is a major bonus. Wages don’t reflect experience and qualifications. Bonuses are not always achievable despite being pushed. Progression or opportunity is very limited with people within the circle being favoured. Overall it’s better than some other major pest control companies to work for however feels like it’s becoming like the others. In the end it became a job not a career.
Pros
Flexi Time
Cons
Wages, bonuses, limited progression

Not great
Environmental Worker (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 9 December 2021
The company have no manpower to maintain the portfolio they have. As much as the company are trying to cement their name in the UK from the US, it’s just not happening. Moral is low, techs jump ship at the first opportunity, not even working their notice. The pay is poor and nothing special, supermarket workers get more with a lot less pressure. If you want to break into the world of pest control, this company isn’t it, simply due to the lack of techs to support and management that couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery. The company won’t last in the UK
Pros
Van for personal use
Cons
Pay is low, management support is poor

Poor training, support and development. Average terms and conditions but very regimented and over reliant on gimmicks.
pest control technician (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 21 November 2021
An average pest control company that offers little in the way of training and development. Think they have reinvented the wheel because they use a lot of apps and portals. Wages are decent but not much in the way of work togetherness and culture. Over reliant on tech.
Pros
Decent wages, van and mobile.
Cons
Poor training, culture and management.

Not a fun place to work
Commercial Account Manager (Former Employee) - Salisbury, MD - 3 October 2021
Management always wanting more. No amount of sales is good enough. Favoritism for people who have been there longer. Expect to do 40,000 plus miles in your first 6 months of being given a company car. Private mileage taxed. Micro managed daily. Tracker on your phone and in your car called Truce. Hours of work are long 60 hours a week for bad wages. Selling pest control isn't hard but management always telling you how to sell the products when they haven't even sold it themselves on the road or face to face with a customer. Competitions run for money to achieve sales but management never pays out. Meetings over and over again for nothing but to tell you we need more sales. Mark my words you won't last a year given that the monies you earn are not paid until the 15th of the following month.
Pros
Free uniforms
Cons
Long hours, No family life, Bad Management, one day off a week.

I liked working on location, learned such a lot in a very short time. Some I remember to this day.
Technician (Former Employee) - Preston - 7 February 2018
I started here as a rounds technician. Mainly focused on bird work. Management ok always out on location. Work long hours to get the job done.
Have some good friends. This company was going through a change, during my training period. Now this company is called Ecolab.
