1) Tesco Careers website, it had bugs and does not always send your application to someone who will read it at Tesco, and your username and password will expire randomly.
2) For Warehouses, a) via a Agency b) via Tesco - goto the security desk and say " give us a job ", they are so desperate, espcially September to December, they say over 18 ? Have a NI number ? Then come on in for some tests and interview and start tommorow. So many people walk out or get sacked everyday in this slave job, say hello to them as the pass you. You are just a number, yes a four digit number to controllers and managers as they will ask you this and never your name.
Be prepared to leave on your first day, and fill in a Sport Direct or Amazon application form on your first day tea break at Tescos Distribution as they are better employers. Some people actually don't turn up on thier start date and some leave within hours.
Forget health and Safety and food safety as its all about getting the stuff on the trailers in a performance time and not quality, as thats all managers want. Food gets thrown around and run over by electric trucks constantly.
Interview is, english reading and 2+2=4 maths test, then a talk, if you pass this then good luck....
You must have just finished school, so no life experience, young enough that you get paid less than the pocket money you got as a child, and you got it in the bag.
You can learn more about the company and its application form on line. you are doing well and I will be able to make sure that you are on the right direction for the company
You have to fill in a long questionnaire, give them all your details and then hope that the pre-screen system will accept you. I've been trying to get a part time Christmas job there but so far have been told I do not meet the minimum criteria required in our automatic screening. It's the most remedial job I've ever applied for and find this whole screening system very frustrating and impersonal. I'm going to keep applying just to see if it's possible to pass...
