Why did you leave your job at Tesco?

  • Extremely stressful work environment - not worth it for a part time job if you ask me! Had to put myself first.

  • Bullying is rife.

  • Because I was bullied by a senior manager.

  • I believe that every Tesco can be different, although I liked to work there I found a lead manager that was not fair: he forbidden my manager to give me overtime and then he forbidden other managers to give me overtime out of my department. After 6 months of this I gave up, he is still there and he is always using his power to treat the workers. I want to believe that Tesco is a good company with good people but what I saw wasn’t this. Managers don’t care, lead managers only want to go chat and then after disappear for hours they come back to be very unfair and unprofessional with the enployees.

  • No progression, no real term pay increases (you're actually earning less every year when taking into account inflation, the "10.5% increase over 2 years" was actually more like 0.5% over 2 years when taking into account the sunday premium and bank holiday premium cuts), structure is too rigid, managers are clueless dolts, despite Tesco having the largest market share, they pay the least out of the big four.

  • Bulling from managment

  • Bullying from Managers and Supervisors

  • Redundancy

  • Redundancy

  • Somebody stuffed 2 fillet steaks in my coat pocket for a joke but security searched me and the rest is history.
