Best Job
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 9 June 2023
A fun, exciting place to work with loads of opportunities for overtime. Tesco rewards success, I’ve become financially independent and made so many friends from working here.

Friendly workplace
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Poole, Dorset - 9 June 2023
The express stores are a lovely place to make friends. A good job, pays well. However in an express it can be hard to get all the hours in out of season

Easy work, good pay and helpful team.
Cashier/Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Exeter, Devon - 8 June 2023
Very easy job with a good standard pay for a part timer in university. Manager were all good and helpful. Recommend as a part time job for someone who’s at school/college.

Fun job with relatively little stress
Driver (Current Employee) - Chester, Cheshire - 8 June 2023
As with any job there's ups and downs but for the most part it's tolerable. If you're after something mindless without added complication this might be the job for you. Management team are great in my store but YMMV. Pay could be better.

okay
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Greater Manchester - 7 June 2023
Okay for a retail job, good amount of break time however they are unpaid and a decent hourly wage. Although they contract you to low hours and expect you to pick up overtime to make up the rest.

Good colleagues, awful managers
Dot Com Picker (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 7 June 2023
Dot com over all is a easy fast paced job, it was good to be independent and not very customer service based which I liked, however the management are horrific. Not allowed to talk to other team members treated like a robot with the pick targets even when the store is packed they still expect you to hit your targets, I’d say my colleagues made it worthwhile and good pay but management needs serious renewing

Can earn a lot of money if You do overtime
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Lichfield - 7 June 2023
Hard work, but pay is very good. Somethimes easy shift, somethimes no, managers don't really care about You only when You start to get lazy and don't do performance.

Don’t get a job here
Customer Assistant (Current Employee) - Stowmarket, Suffolk - 7 June 2023
Unless you want to have no life, no friends or great health I wouldn’t bother applying. Management is absolutely terrible, with favouritism underlying every corner. You can’t whistleblow with fear of your job in the line as it will be threatened in more than one way possible. Management have childish behaviours; ignoring you if you can’t work any shifts outside your core hours. Poor company, poor management don’t waste your time

Fun workplace, bad manager
Customer Assistant (Current Employee) - Bristol - 7 June 2023
The workplace is very engaging to work in and quite fun but overwhelming, the manager has little flexibility and demands unreasonable things from all staff members.

Poor management and poor working conditions
Customer Assistant (Former Employee) - Dudley, West Midlands - 7 June 2023
Awful working conditions, the management doesn’t care at all about the health and wellbeing of its staff, if your not their favourite you’ll be treated horrendously by managers who speak to you like your a child

Very stressful environment not a place to recommend for one’s enemy
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Purfleet - 7 June 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing to write home about management is very poor. Too much stress on workers What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Management keep asking workers to sign for performance. Performance targets are too high What is the work environment and culture like at the company? So bad they run it like family business, giving best positions to their people and not by merit What is a typical day like for you at the company? Stressful everyday looks like the world is coming to an end. My manager keep chasing people up and down

Fun workplace, social, flexible, help for mental health
Customer Assistant (Current Employee) - Brighton, East Sussex - 6 June 2023
Fun workplace, social, flexible, help for mental health Physical job Rewarding I wouldn't want any career goals at Tesco, very low pay and boring health and safety. But as a Customer Assistant there is great work life balance

Okay
CSA - Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) - Cardiff, Cardiff - 6 June 2023
It's okay, but not the best. They lied to us about redundancy until the last minute. Not enough support and pay is only okay. Discount constantly reduced.

Not great
Shift Leader (Current Employee) - Guildford, Surrey - 5 June 2023
Good pay for the role however constantly understaffed, long hours not much time for a break and high expectations. When it goes well though its a good job with ok benefits.
