Productive.
Working with Tesco’s it’s the type of job that you can’t get too comfortable in as in making friends etc. You just have to get on with it and no one really cares about anyone. I worked on checkouts and wasn’t often left for hours before a break. It’s very unorganised but overall the pay is good so I would work there again.
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Short breaks or none at all.

Mmmm ok
Worked here for a while. Very much thrown it the deep end with very little training. We had a change of management and things went down hill very quickly. Became very ‘clique’ and not a nice place to work. Only given almost zero hour contracts and totally dependant on overtime ( which was few and far between) to survive. Very much at the companies beck and call and as a result have no life. Impossible to plan or budget and you never know your pay packet from one month to another.
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
Minimal contracts, irregular inconsistent hours, lousy work life balance.

OK if face fits
Worked at tesco for 8 years. Was a lovely place when I started with good benefits and promises of progression. However after doing an apprenticeship through tesco and stepping up many a time I was never given the opportunity to move forward and declined to go on the options programme, even though I was good enough to do rotas and sort peoples issues out. Hours constantly changing due to heat maps and it was always the same people given unsociable hours. Felt like you only got recognition and fair treatment if your face fitted or where a relative of manager
Pros
Discount
Cons
Hours constantly changing and favourites.
