NETWORK PROTECTION INVESTIGATOR (Former Employee) - London - 17 January 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedGood company, role poorly thought out. The supervisor was an intrusive overbearing manager with a lack of management experience. The role was limited to a small area. Good senior management and a supportive company and environment.
Pros
Flexible
Cons
Poor supervisor

Not an equal opportunity company in few words
Technical lead within Thames (Current Employee) - london - 29 August 2021
Thames water is very proud in stating that it is an equal opportunity company, which is not true and you career progress is based on who you set next to. Personal development chances are very limited in spite of being really active to make a change. Don't recommend it if you have an ambition as Thames will definitely kills it.

Productive and Challenging Work Place
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 18 March 2020
At Thames, there was always room for progression. The daily challenges were hard work yet achievable.
The hardest part of the job was getting departments to work and liaise with eachother at all times. The most enjoyable part of the job was the interactions with staff, hitting targets and visiting the general public.

I had heard great things but..........
Process Technician (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 6 November 2019
I would imagine that starting at Thames Water is probably the single biggest mistake I have ever made.
Looks great until you realise that they cannot hold on to people and excessive hours are required.
The base wage is not what is promised and what you negotiate on interview is what you are stuck with + yearly company pay rise, there isn't any structure to go up incrementally within your grade unless you change jobs and if you are already at a higher Process grade you're knackered.
Morale, overall, where I work is awful with very few willing to put any effort in.

Good work/life balance is promoted.
Operations/Maintenance Manager (Current Employee) - London - 11 September 2019
There is a lot of travelling involved due to the wide geographical area covered in the London & Thames Valley area. The management is very supportive in promoting your well being and professional development. You get to visit many lovely sites in the countryside.

Poor payers
20K a year Working in foul...! Live traffic if that's not bad enough try driving a LGV that comes with all the added hassles, possible fines and the poxy call out rota
To top it all it's in London as if the cost of living is bad enough.
My advice is to avoid until they wake up and pay a decent rate.!
You could always apply for their cushy office jobs stay very clean get a silly title do very little and get payed better.!
Pros
iN/A
Cons
Thankless job

Typical day at work is usually lots of fun as well as working hard. Great place to learn and grow
Warm and friendly environment
Hardest part of the job is that you never have enough time to delivery everything asked, although it is hard to say no
Most enjoyable part of the job is that knowing you work for a company which has a huge place in peoples lives
Pros

Cons
Inconsistincy in Management

Site Performance Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 16 March 2017
At work, everyone gets stuck in the job while they joke with each and interact.
I learn how to relate and work with teams on tasks.
I love managing people.
Work place with a positive attitude.

Jobs at Thames Water Utilities Limited
in LondonGood workplace to build your carrier.
TECHNICAL LEAD (Former Employee) - London, ENG - 6 July 2015
Good workplace to learn multiple technologies. Wipro is a service based organisation hence got an opportunity to work with different clients around the globe. High level management like leads and project managers guidance is helpful to grow within the company. Employee centrist and salaries were moderate comparing to other companies however they provided many benefits.
Pros
Free transportation
Cons
Long working hours and less pay scale

Productive and good people
Team Leader (Current Employee) - London - 26 January 2015
Good company to work for, great bunch of people.
Usual day consists of checking emails, making sure the team are ok, and have no issues, being available for support, if required. Completing reports and updating various departments where required.
