Here at The Bowgie we have opportunities for training both in house and with local training centres including Newquay for Excellence, Cornwall Food Foundations "Experts Grow", St Austell Brewery and Cornish Coffee.

We are members of Taste of the West having been awarded Silver in 2016 and 2017.

In September 2020, The Bowgie Inn won a Great British Pub Award in the 'Staff Welfare' category, for our efforts in supporting our team throughout the pandemic and lockdown.

We have recently teamed up with the Cornwall Good Seafood Guide and we serve Cornish Sustainable catch.

We are Members of Visit Cornwall and Newquay TIC.

We are proud to display our Cask Marque Plaque and will soon be serving 8 cask ales - all Cornish of course.

We serve over 30 Cornish Gins. We even serve it with a Cornish Tonic made with SeaBuck Thorn Berries.

We also serve Cornish Ciders, Cornish Stout, Cornish Vodka, Cornish Whisky, Cornish Apple juice, Cornish Elderflower Presse, Basically if it's Cornish, we are probably serving it.

We are delighted to have unveiled our brand new refurbishment in July 2020 after years of hard work. We now have an amazing 360-degree bar and have maximised the space, perfect for social distancing and our new COVID-19 measures.

Treated un fairly never listened too. You will never know where you stand with this company the manager is not stable at all would not recommend this place to anyone

Worst environment to work in

The bowgie inn is not a present place to work. You are not treated fairly nether are you listened too. This place has no respect for its staff or the customers.

I had the best summers, with the best views working here. During my split shifts I loved diving into the sea and socialising with likeminded people. The social element of The Bowgie, as well as effective management and colleagues made my time there so memorable. Whether living in or commuting there is something for everyone. Friendly staff and flexible hours

The bowgie is a great place to work no matter what age. The pay for the younger staff around my age was brilliant. While working there there was a always a great vibe throughout the staff members and always a smiles around.
