It's too late the cuts, and poor promotion because of NEM2020 have decimated morale. Pensions have been cut by a massive amount AFPS2015. I'm seeing 10y privates and 15y LCpl coming through from 2010.
Its unfortunate we have to work much harder for much longer for a fraction of the pension.
Good management, teachers you alot, keep ding what you doing.
Lower the requirement for having a faultless past. Same as the Police. Too many potentially great Officers / Soldiers, are RTU'd because of a few infractions from their past. It should be like the old days, where they would take anyone who was strong, fit and willing.
Obviously the fitness, academic and psychological tests should remain the same, but in regards to so called 'criminal records', it should not be a barr to someone joining. As long as they've not committed any major crime, then they should be given a chance at life in the forces.
Listen to what all ranks views are, nothing can work effectively if everything does not work.
Give more interest in each current soldiers welfare
Have more consideration for soldiers with children.
Better organisation before events. Build up fitness beforehand.
Stop the goverment from making the defence budget smaller every year
Provide the best and fairest working environment for personnel. Respect personnel more and don't become an 'empire builder' or become power crazed with promotion.
Try to convince you to stay and try it a little longer.
