Disabled friendly

Cleaning Operative (Current Employee) - Huntingdon - 19 April 2023

I'm reluctant to write anything here or is going to be obvious who i am. However I like my job, would do more if they wanted me to but really they have set of the role and that's it for advancement.

Free dog grooming for staff

They never have enough groomers to do the free dog grooming

Lack of support

The actual job was great but unfortunately completely overshadowed by the complete lack of support by management. The senior managers are impersonal, rude and stuck in a different decade. It’s such a shame as I could have stayed and progressed as job and peers were great but the condescending and hostile management tone made me cry on a weekly basis.

Supportive employer

Good induction programme, supportive during probationary period. In some roles progression is not obvious but there are opportunities to develop and specialise. Need to use your initiative and highlight your requirements and be willing to put yourself forward for additional responsibilities.

Toxic culture in this organisation

Staff are struggling and overstretched working long hours in their own time. The workload that every member of staff at the college deals with is unlike anything I have ever seen or experienced. The attitude of the directors is the root of the toxic culture in this organisation.

Hostile management

Worst company that I ever worked for. The senior management (mainly one person) was extremely rude to all staff and often made employees cry. Complete lack of empathy and understand of personal circumstances. It was expected to work 50+ hours and still be questioned if you actually worked.
