I’m currently working at the Dog at Wingham. It’s a great place to work, lovely staff and management. I’ve learnt a lot since I’ve been here and looking forward to move up within the company.

Great place to work!

A great place to work with friendly staff. Everything is top quality and is shown by the number of awards we're currently winning! Staff are all treated well with team days out (paintballing etc) which is a great time to get to know the rest of the staff. Discounted food and drinks is a great bonus!

As being in the industry for 15 years I've never worked in such a nice place along a tight team of professionals I've worked all over the UK as a chef but the dream job was write on my door step all along

A truly enjoyable place to work. All staff and management are lovely and supportive. The work can be challenging sometimes but overall not very stressful. Good pay and staff rewards.

I really enjoy working at the dog as it’s a nice environment and the managers and staff are lovely It is really near where I live and it is convenient for me to work there I get treated nicely The customers are polite

Been at the dog on and off now for the past 4 years, hands down the best place I have worked, the owners are on site daily and always there to help and advise with everything.As a chef we have complete free rain of what we want to produce and they are behind us every step of the way, giving us the guidance, advice and freedom every chef dreams off, you are rewarded for hard work and treated like family.Al

Fun workplace, great team, beautiful location

I thoroughly enjoy working at The Dog, due to the fun team I work amongst. As a student, I feel I have a great work-life balance, and management are very understanding and helpful regarding managing my studies and availability. The pay is very fair especially in comparison to past hospitality jobs, and there are great opportunities for career progression and pay rise. It is amazing to work in such a beautiful location that serves incredible food. There is a really good staff discount and well managed tip system.

Of all the places I have worked in the hospitality industry, this has definitely been by far the best. With the opportunity for career progression and pay rises, brilliant staff discount system and tips and wonderful food to eat between services. The owners and managers are all lovely and approachable which creates a very friendly work environment.

One of the best places I’ve ever worked

Worked here a few years ago, left on very good terms with the owners and they gladly had me back. It is honestly one of the best places that I have worked over the 10 years I have been in hospitality. The owners and the management go above and beyond to help out where they can, wether it is the hours your working or something personal. If they can, they will! There is a very good work life balance, which doesn’t often happen within the industry. Good relationship with the locals, staff meals if you are a double shift. Competitive wages and good tips. And a very nice team.

No ones know what's going on senior staff not in over weekend. Bar staff think they are above you and will blame anyone they want. Others we're lovely.

High pressure. Can never do good enough

I worked here as a housekeeper. The owner doesn't hold back when she feels she has reason to complain. She reduced one employee to tears in the few weeks I was there and other staff mentioned similar stories. Time allowed to clean each room is not enough. You are expected to be a robot. All staff seem to be walking on eggshells around the owner Hourly rate depends on shared tips
