A great team to work with. A rewarding and worthwhile job.Long hours but that's to be expected.A lot of possibility for over time. All training was provided. But there is a lot of it.

fun

some great staff but their are some staff who are bullies or play the managment against other staff so they look innocent when they are the culprits for the drama

Avoid at all cost

This has to have been the worst place to work. Very clicky alot of backstabbing. No help from manager when asked. Some staff broke rules and were never disaplined for it. The way they treat the residents is shocking. When on call they can ring you for the silliest of things early hours of the morning. Often enough after a 12 hour shift you was made to do a night shift due to staff shortages. WOULD AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Clicky

They really are not bothered about people at all. When they found out my mental health issues they stated "are you even safe to work here" ... clearly no idea about mental health as they had to ask what bipolar was. Worrying for a nursing home who takes care of not only dementia patients but patients with depression schizophrenia etc.... after taking time of sick they decided to fire me for 2 late sick notes. They received the first but the second I was actually in hospital and hadn't got chance to get one yet.... I've worked in a few jobs but here I was definitely treated the worst.

Pros

Pay is ok

Cons

Clicky, ignorant staff

Care worker

I would avoid at all costs.. you get spoken to and treat like a piece of rubbish. I wouldn’t put my dogs in here, never mind my relatives. I love working in care, but this job has put me off care altogether and want to try something new.

Lounge Supervisor

Open curtains, organise chairs, feeding tables, cushions and prepare the kitchen for serving breakfast, tea, coffee and juices for the residents. Ensure that all residents have serviettes. Greet and residents with a smile and make them comfortable. Serve them their breakfasts and fluids, remove plates and cups when finished and place in dishwasher. Must always ensure that residents have fluids at all times. 11o'clock tea and biscuits. Positive, caring interaction is extremley important and residents must not be treated like children. They all have their own personalities. My co-workers were fantastic and did an excellent job as it could be very trying at times. Tidy and clean kitchen I built up an excellent rapport with residents and staff. I thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time with the residents and felt very fulfilled at the end of the day.
