Good for a while

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It’s a good place to gain experience in a large charity and work on some exciting projects, but progression is very much dictated on when someone leaves and more often than not you’re left with managing two jobs because they can’t (or won’t) backfill a role. Pay could be better, but the flexibility of working from home is good. This is very dependent on individual team culture however, and I don’t feel it’s applied equally across the board.

Fancy name not what it is

Good cause , poor recruitment. They don’t think outside the box to help and reach out to their cause. Not inclusive at all. Out of touch with delivery partners.

Poorly managed.

This company isn't worth the stress. Cade load of 49 young people yet no recognition is rewarded. Quick to assume things and this is very poor considering the wage paid.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

No progression

Very good workplace

The princes trust was a very good place to work, support from leadership was second to none and the benefits you get from knowing you are making a small difference is always very humbling.

Pros

Changing lives

Cons

A lot of stress

There are better charities out there!

Peer to peer support is excellent and at ground level the team is good and doing a great job supporting YP. Senior management can not be trust and rarely speak to the front line staff, their sole focus is personal progression. Pay is well below industry standards and staff are jumping ship after a short while with the Trust. No cost of living pay rise's in the last two years Only bothered outward appearance and on the inside they try to be fluffy but its all lip service - FOCUS IS THE NUMBERS AND NOT THE STAFF OR YOUNG PEOPLE

Pros

Colleagues that want to make a difference

Cons

The more you do the more they want

NO training and short contract

I received no training needed for assistant team leader, and my colleague had to train and fill me in on what was expected. The follow up staff were not great. The overall goal of the company is amazing and I loved helping the young people.

Productive and helpful

I did not work at Prince's Trust, I only went through placements with them for M&S and then to receive a certification. The company itself helped me a lot in my future job search and the staff were supportive and lovely.

Pros

Advancement in field

Cons

Lots of voluntary labour

taking part in a course

I wasn't specifically employed by Prince's trust, but took part in the fairbridge programme. I thought the people there were very helpful and supportive and encouraged me to take part in new activities.
