Very bad, stay away from them
Carpenter (Former Employee) - Regent's Park Station - 29 June 2019
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedVery bad agency, stay away from them, not correct. Send me to a ''long term job'' right before Easter(3 days). On the second day only 20 minutes before the end of the shift phoned me to say that the client does not me anymore. That day I had other job offers which I would have accepted had they let me know earlier and there was only one day before the Easter holiday, there was no chance of getting a job. I was virtually thrown out on the street. They lied to me, their client lied too (asked him if I could work till Easter as there were 3 days before it, and he said yes). That;s how they treat people nowadays - like rags. But this was not enough for them, They did not pay me the two days in the same week(something they should have done), but paid them in two separate payments so I was hit twice with a payment processing fee by... a payroll company which is connected to them. In my correspondance with them they were ignorant.. consider taking court action for the double fee I was charged.

Unreliable and dont return calls
Carpenter (Former Employee) - Glasgow Central Station, Glasgow - 20 February 2018
I've dealt with the shore group a few times and each time they either do not return calls or tell me different to what I was previously told. The did mess me around a bit and it was disapointing. At times they said they had jobs coming up and never got back to me again. I think i give up even applying to them
Pros
Learning experience
Cons
Unprofessional

Will not pay you .
Carpenter (Former Employee) - Oxfordshire - 9 August 2016
Ok Everyone beware of this company .
Had to keep chasing to see if I could start yesterday on the Oxford Belfry hotel as a Carpenter .
They sounded a bit amateurish on the phone , saying yes but had not contacted site agent again to check .
I thought I would go along and check on this job myself as it was not far from me .
I very glad I did as foreman on the job said they had 4 men pack in last week as they had not been paid by this lot.
As you can imagine I avoided this lot at all costs .
Glad I did not send over my details to them , I held off to check this job out first .
I'm now working else where and for money too !
Up to you but I would not take the Risk.
Cons
No money

This is certainly an uncommon experience, and due to our payroll being managed by an external team, this is likely a problem which has occurred within their processes. Please feel free reach out to info@theshorgroup.co.uk to discuss this issue further. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and we hope any issues can be resolved in order to work together in the future. Thank you, The Shore Group
