The sofa delivery company is a branch of DFS, warehouse is badly run and management are very poor,if your face fits you be fine employ people that walk out and some how get reinstated on numerous occasions!!.I can't think of any other company that does this? Doncaster is especially bad far this and higher management should seriously look into this.!!

Live a nightmare if you want to work here.

I'd advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this company.It's an awfully run company. The management are a joke from the very top to the lower level. The job itself is or could be easy but made stressful and harder by how it's run and not having good enough technology to help with the job.

Unbelievably stressful and they don’t care about any of their employees. The pay is bad and the pressure you’re put under is immense. The only plus is some of the people you work with, your all in the same sinking ship so it definitely bonds you.

blood thirsty employers 7 days of unpaid extra labour a year

just stay clear of this place as they overwork you so much people work through there tacho break and then they take a hour off you everyday so you will do 12 hours work for 11 hours pay as its so badly routed ,they use a robot that its so inconsistent some times you will get 11 minutes to do a massive corner group up to the top floor flat with no lift or you will get 18 minutes to deliver a cushion. Not only is it badly routed they sometimes don't book the collections of furniture so you will show up expecting to install a 5 piece massive sofa group and end up taking a 5 piece back with you which is not routed into your route 7x12hr shift overtime days that you don't get extra money for . The moral of the workers is so high they are slicing the backs of the sofas open in the warehouse.just stay away unless you like rushing around and not getting a lunch break

Not a good place to work

This company does not care about you and the managers don't either. Health and safety is dangerously bad. The volume of staff accidents is high. A team of people consists of nine staff supposedly on the shop floor but at least two are almost always on holiday and roughly 1-2 warehouse staff might get dragged out onto the road to do deliveries. Leaving hardly anyone in the warehouse. They took away experienced agency to replace with agency who have no training and only last a week.Training is non-existant and even when they attempt to give training out they will just get you to tick the box to pass you regardless. Again leading to injurys. Training new agency is getting them to spend sometime in the morning to tick boxes then dumping them on the warehouse team to train and deal with along with their usual tasks they have to do.Banked days. This is a system where the management team will provide you with seven days that they expect you (out of your current shift pattern) to come and work. We get told that we already receive pay for these but these days basically make you FEEL like your working for free. Overtime is flat rate and there is no incentive to make people come in to help the site out on extra days due to this. Breaks should be at a set time but they kept being pushed back for reasons that are out of the warehouse staffs hands. Leaving warehouse staff to go hungry untill they've picked up the pieces. Drivers are overloaded and overworked. Most feel pressured and or tempted to miss a break and to prioritize work. There was a point where a driver might have -

To much graft not enough hours. They want every inch of blood out of you. No support from upper management above site level. Very unclear. No vision going forward either.

Overworked no work life balance very poor management worst morale ive seen amongst employees lot of physical injuries. Management show little concern when employees raise issues

Fun workplace

From the very first day, the impression that no one cares about you. Disgusting bosses, work colleagues constantly "knock" on you. I took CPC tests three times plus a driving test with some instructor. For more than a month I worked as a porter or in a warehouse. Very often you finish your shift late due to long distances and you are not paid for overtime hours. I do not advise...

4 off great, 4 on hard work, alot of driving and the favoured looked after. No team atmosphere, us & them attitude, route planner poor as customer led on timings.

Physically a hard Graff

Not much to say about working here. First employed late 2020 out of covid. Driver Installer on Shift - 4 on 4 off. Excited at first to earn some money again after being pretty much broke with covid. Had two weeks in the warehouse as training lol. You just shadow ppl for there needs normally for a lift and break the carboard down for the compactor. Warehouse not fit for purpose , too small. everything each day get’s dragged outside come sun snow and rain. Employed to drive. But found that I was a relief driver 3.5tonne so warehouse and occasional doing store runs and the odd home call. Wasn’t happy about that so Decided to upgrade to 7.5tonne vehicle, to get out of the warehouse. Either you got it or don’t. Wasn’t for me. First sight, most of the 7.5t vehicles are old and run in pretty hard each day (broke down couple times) long waits 😭 buttons missing and lights flashing at you. It’s IVECO. lorry Boxes you’ll have to change twice or three times in some days each day so loading bays are ready for the next day. That can be a hassle (inter changeable/ detachable). Didn’t really think it would be that hard lol. But you get the hand of it after awhile changing them. Recliners and dead weight sofa beds to flats and town houses we’re the worst. You need to be pretty fit, that a must. Shift Managers were great there. But really busy and so very hard to get a one on one with them. Upper management. You Never saw. Only to be reminded of your tacho rules and time sheets. Warehouse staff and other drivers you’ll have a good laugh. great lads. Just for me too much red -

Bad management

I've been working for this company for a year now, and i can honestly say its run by bad management, they leave you to solve your own problems, you could ask them for advice but they would say there to busy,Decision making is ridiculous, they dont care how you feel, there is no respect from them, all there interested in is delivering furniture thats not at high quality, Its all about quantity not quality

Bad place to work

Got sacked for vaping outside of the warehouse because the management had an issue with me for been injured. Overall horrible place to work avoid at all costs.

Poor management and a greedy company

No real life situations taken into consideration right from the top of the food chain all the way down to management at the sites. Work load is very high and very unrealistic and sometimes unachievable . You get told if you don’t like it, you know where the door is. Company is very greedy which is not entirely a bad thing but it is because the main focus for them is purely the income. Not worrying about how they get it, not caring about the employees welfare, wage, work and home life balance, mental and physical health. When the company requires you to do overtime they expect it and never actually ask the workers if they can do some. It is also forced upon you like you don’t have a choice in doing it when you clearly do. Management capabilities and priorities are below poor. Every new starter in the company is supposed to be trained up but not a single person has been across all of the job roles. Then when they do something wrong they get penalised and get turned into the bad guy and get made feel like you don’t belong in the job role you are in. Bearing in mind there’s not a great deal of support from management, get expected to deal with it yourself, you screwed up-you fix it sort of mentality. Actual yearly wage is not too bad, but that gets compromised as you have to work most of the bank holidays during the year except 2 days at Christmas and New Year’s day. Overtime is flat rate, don’t get anything extra. Constant health and safety hazards occur almost to an extent where health and safety is non existent.

Worst management imaginable

Managers are untrained and ignorant from depot to higher-up. 4 on 4 off is nice but a scam. They pay you for the 48 hour weeks across 4 days but expect you to work 7 free 'bank days' across the year. If you calculate your pay with these bank days, you're on minimum wage. Entire company seems to run on windows xp, every system is god awful. Zero benefits, zero colleague support, no union (they probably won't let unions exist), no point in working for them.

Long days and exhausting

The days are long and being on your feet all day can be physically exhausting. Staff members can be rude and tedious at times. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this company.

I worked there via an agency and they get rid of you with a click of a finger without any fair reason as to why and no proper explanation Avoid at all costs

Not Fun

Poor Hours 4 on 4 0ff tired all the time. Certain shift managers are not helpful at all, really don’t want to help you especially as me and another driver came from Sofology originally, felt a big divide and same at other CDC’s when speaking to other Sofology drivers, Really enjoyed time my time at Sofology but since moving by no chose of my own to new place and new hours it’s not been as enjoyable, don’t get me wrong the 4 days off together are good especially to spend time with family but you really only get 3 as you are shattered for the first day.

Heavy but enjoyable

The work is heavy and can be long days, but job is made easier by the group of people you work with, they are a great bunch of lads and I enjoyed working with them all. The 4 on 4 off shift pattern gives you time to plan out of work appointments and a 4 days holiday actually equates to 12 days off. The pay is competitive for the area. Overall I had a good experience there and would return if my current job didn't work out.

Just being honest.

The drivers i worked with are like family, warehouse causes major problems, definitely needs improvement, some silly little rules but health and safety is ignored throughout the site

Great place to work!!

Worked here for a few months now and love the culture. Great people! It’s hard work and busy but means the day goes quickly. Love the 4 on 4 off shift pattern! Get more time to spend with my family. I was sceptical after reading a few reviews on here but can say it’s great here and so give it a go!
