Simple job
General Operative (Former Employee) - Grimethorpe, South Yorkshire - 31 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAs a temporary place it was okay, but staying there longer wouldn't be beneficial neither for the bank account or your sanity. The management wasn't respectful at all, so were some colleagues.
Pros
Being able to use English, learn something new
Cons
The management and their lack of respect, not too friendly colleagues, low wage, but it's expected in such place

Manager is a grade A mug
Production Operative (Former Employee) - Rotherham - 11 August 2022
Manager got rid of me for sitting down lmao. They have favourites, if you’re not polish then get ready for a rough time. Management don’t care if you talk to them and they just get rid of people who speak up. Weird place to work. Avoid in my opinion

High Stress With All The Mess
Area Installation Manager (Former Employee) - Field Based - 12 July 2022
over 40 phone calls before you have officially started, you are always playing catch as you simply rely on sub contractors and when they let you down which is often you are running around trying to balance the world in your hand, Not much support from anyone as it is predominately a field-based role. No work-life balance No support from the hierarchy as they don't work in the field so cannot fully understand the stress hat is caused by manufacturing and transport errors

Poor management
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) - Grimethorpe - 8 July 2022
Everyday was a Hard work, including heavy lifting/picking/pacing parts of furniture. This job is Good for only short periods of time. Difficult place to work. Good money but nothing else :/ about workplace culture - Management are not helpful, team leaders are bad and and not fair for everyone. The most enjoyable part of the job was break

The people you work with make the job
Designer (Former Employee) - Barnsley, South Yorkshire - 8 January 2022
Overall great company to work for, management can be hit and miss certain individuals need weeding out pay needs to be higher / more defined gaps only 1000 pounds difference between a trainee and a full level.
Pros
Good atmosphere, bank Holidays and weekends off
Cons
Bank Holidays come out of your entitlement, pay grades, some managing staff

Gloucester branch was a discrace.
7.5 tonne driver (Former Employee) - Gloucester, Gloucestershire - 25 October 2021
Former 7.5t driver. Starting out from Glos depotbat 5am. Loading in the dark at a manic pace. Regular long days 11-12 hour shifts. I was told more than once to remove my digital card and get my rounds finished. Most weeks given the hours worked I didn't make minimum wage. Not support from head office at all.
Pros
Every other job after this one will feel better
Cons
Long hours, poor health and safety

Very Risky, Not for everyone, Good wage
HGV Driver C+E, Nights and days (Former Employee) - Barnsley, South Yorkshire - 21 September 2021
Having worked here a few years, I will not hesitate your say this is not the best place to work. The job - mine a driver done both days and nights, would have been straightforward but was not easy. Nights are a particular nightmare as the places the company calls sub-bases are not safe at all (ask to see most recent pictures when you come for an interview) . You are mostly by yourself trying to figure out what you should do in some crammed spaces, moving two or more demount boxes - transport office thinks it’s so easy. For a company that has grown so well, the level of penny pinching is beyond a council estate lad wanting to buy one bottle from a pack of WKD. Be ready to go on a hunting mission to find your vehicle as management refuse to get vehicles parked conveniently for driver’s ease and not even the parking bays are numbered so you lose a lot of time trying to sort yourself and get started. Some vehicles are a dirt-box even as someone sleeps in them as a night driver you have to clean the dirt so you can drive as cab hopping is the way. For a company that has enough a fleet to have dedicated vehicles on nights, managers think they cannot do that else you end up with a tag when you raise such concerns. Most of them do not even have an idea how much drivers go through to get the vehicles into the sub-bases, with most uneven slippery surfaces being a risk in the wet season. Days much better as you have advantage of people as well as daylight to help and the hours are ok, the kitchen units may be heavy but you don’t do as much lifting over long distances and the units -
Pros
Get your keys, get your work done. Team effort with workmates, fairly new trucks (heard they have a new Mercedes fleet too)
Cons
Very risky, filthy cabs (most times, lucky if yu get a clean one)

Decent job
Class 1 wagon an drag (Former Employee) - Barnsley - 24 May 2021
Overall a good place to work, hours not too long Plenty off time off, 2-3 nights out a week unfortunately though a 2 tiered system with the trucks the favourites an the whiners, get the spacious Mercedes an the rest a cramped little daf cf that's not ideal for continuous nights out, pay is good with a yearly increase, yearly bonus that they try an find reasons to take off you, but overall a very physical job, I've been driving for 18 years an its up there with one of the best jobs I've done
Pros
Weekends off, decent weekly pay
Cons
Slow wagons small trucks

Bit of a bully culture.
Area Installation Manager (Former Employee) - Colchester - 6 September 2020
Some clear violations of H&S act. Sending managers to site with no PPE immediately after lockdown was lifted instead of waiting 1 week. A weak management in place who arent very competent in managing personell and expect you to give up your evenings to bail them out. Blame and bully culture meant I decided to call it a day
Pros
Site work and actualy job were great
Cons
Leaders arent very competent
