Can be stressful due to having very little work!

Typical day in a hospital. Would start work like everyone else on the ward. I have learned that agency are treated differently to normal staff. Usually moral is low on the wards due to high agency staff. Having no work at times is stressful, as Thornbury are paid the highest wages, therefore asked last to do shifts. It can be very last minute. It is extremely stressful job because staff at some hospitals etc. can be quite upset by our pay rates. However we do have to travel sometimes 200 miles to a shift.

What is the best part of working at the company?The best part of working with the company was the flexibility you have to choose between working and the time to stay home with your family… you choose when and what time to work..What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The most stressful part about working at the company is, you not giving enough time to choose when to start job.. the jobs are last minute and you have to get ready to be there as soon as possible.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?The environment and culture of the work is, you work in teams/groups which makes the job easier and pleasant though the clients can be sometimes stressful.. but with group and team work it can be easy.What is a typical day like for you at the company?We work long hours say 12 hours shift and if varies from shift to shift, some days can be difficult depending on the client.. some difficult clients we have to keep restraining them every now and then while other days when they in their good mood we can have a good shift working together with them and have fun.

Very disappointed

Not the company I was led to believe in by others who had worked there. After being employed by them in September 2020 during the Pandemic, I received a call to tell me there wasn't enough work for everyone and I was being let go. Not enough work during a pandemic and let go, seriously? Still trying to work that one out!

Good company to work for. Staff are suitably trained. Flexible working hours.Great team work with colleagues. Very good pay rates. Payments made weekly.
