Best nursing agency for pay, support and reputation

Best Nursing Agency Ever (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 16 September 2023

Always get paid on time, any errors are corrected very fast.Pay rates are openly advertised, opportunity to earn bonuses and higher rates.Nearly all shifts are last minute bookings, so if that doesn't suit, don't bother joining. Can be in remote areas so use of a car pretty much essential.Staff are always ever so polite and helpful when you speak with them, this is a successful tight ship they run, and you are seen as an asset and not a pain.Only downside is, as all zero hour contracts, work is not consistent.Worked with them over 7 years, think that speaks volumes...

Great pay but unhelpful when needed

Great app system to book shifts, very easy to use. Had a great time working for them until a problem arose (not my fault) and Thornbury were very unhelpful and very slow in resolving the issue. This was the main reason for my leaving and I have spoken to people since who have also had the same issue. Did not support me throughout any of the issues I had.

Absolute fab agency to work for. Very helpful with revaladation. Shifts always available , paid on time and even get a cancellation fee if shift is cancelled. Wide range of settings and patient groups.

Thornbury is the best nursing agency I’ve ever worked for. They value nurses and treat nurses with respect. The pay is really great! You have to be prepared to travel and do last minute shifts but the positive thing is you get paid generously for last minute shifts and mileage is paid for your travel.
