Not so good

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Job it self is very physical but very satisfying. However it will require a lot of patience as routes are not very well planned, you are sent to different areas every day (you don't have set route) and delivery times are very unrealistic i.e. 2 minutes to collect one keg (time to get from a truck to customer, time for introducing yourself and explaining why you're there not included). Some crews are treated better than others.

Great place

Cracking people, easy work, good place to make friends. Easy work if you get on with it. Management can be understanding.

Stay away

Avoid at all cost Management are spiteful bully's, from the scabby duty management team to the depot manager all as bad as each other. If you want stress from 5am till 6pm this is the job for you. They will steel your wages, not pay your overtime and have you working like a dog for very little return.

Good group of lads working here

Overtime paye is stolen form you, cant get your holidays, bully culture throughout the managment.

Poor management not paid for overtime

The management on the early and late shifts are shocking no help from them at all and they don’t even know the job like using scanners etc spoken to really poor. You have to wait three month for overtime pay if they haven’t sent you home early to get hours back expect you to do 11 - 12 hours every day no home work home life balance management don’t care though as they do there 8 hours and go home glad to be out off there.

Decent lads on shift

product and fun workplace

I enjoyed my work whilst I was there and got along with all of the staff there the hardest part of working at trade-team was loading the lorries, the most enjoyable part of working at trade-team was communicating with the staff and learning new skills

Great team but unfortunately there is a massive retention issue

Early starts from 4am and late finish post 6pm are normal and overtime payments are lacking. normally paid for 10hrs whether you do 9 or 16hrs (forced overtime) as you can't return if you still have deliveries on board Moral is low in the yard but great away on the delivery routes the Planner or planning software for delivery routes and times are way out and so after the first drop you are behind the time windows Managers are approachable and are well aware of all the problems the crews encounter, and although they say things will change, it didn't in the 2 months from 1st Dec to 30th Jan I gave it. Meet some fantastic landlords/lady's and deliver to some beautiful places, camaraderie between crews is second to only the Armed forces, great team work and family spirit, and I feel its the crews that make this business survive

great crews, locations, own boss, meet people, family enviroment

extreme hours, no praise for effort, poor morale, forced overtime with no pay
