Who you know not what you
The worst of waste processing smelly dangerous and radioactive. Employees mostly related or best friends. Too many people have left because if your face don’t fit you will be bullied out

Stinks
Heavy job, only 10% driving. Not all bins close right so come into contact with waste. Out in all weather with limited PPE. Load and unload yourself. Smelly job

Terrible place to work.
Working conditions are dredful and dangerous. Management have no concerns over your health or safety, as long as the work gets done and they reach their quota to get their company wage benifits then they just don't care.No respect for staff at all, you are treated like dirt and expected to work all sorts of hours. Management constantly bend the rules to meet demand even if it means putting your health and safety in danger. Some of their work practises are questionable.HR department has no interest in staff concerns and always side with management. Management will result to blatant lying to cover their own backs. If your face don't fit or you don't bow down to their every demand then you get singled out and ultimately pushed out, hence the high turn over of staff. If you value your health both mentally and physically and want a life outside of work then I highly recommend you give this place a miss.I now understand that this branch has closed down which is understandable with the way it was run. Unfortunately, the worst of the management has now moved on to the Swindon branch so no doubt the problems will continue there.
Staff in Heysham

Poor Management, Poor Training, Poor Pay
The management is poor, often absent and unsupportive to their hardworking teams, typically belittling and shifting blame. The company is generally understaffed, overtime is rarely paid but is often expected, communication within the company is terrible with emails/calls often being ignored for days by other departments if they do not want to help, workers are seen as disposable and staff are constantly on edge for fear of losing their job. The company do not seem to want to spend the time training their staff so there is often a lack of knowledge in crucial areas, the salary is not very good and definitely does not compensate for the combination of the toxic clique culture in the workplace and the workload which is regularly that of 2 peoples due to being so understaffed.

Great place to work
It’s a waste management company so not the most glamorous of jobs but it’s a good company to work for. I have great training, opportunities to progress and managers listen to me and involve me. It’s hard work at times but I enjoy it. Wish the pay was a bit better.
