Picker/Packer/Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Dunfermline - 23 April 2016
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedTransline staff routinely lie to cover themselves! The job itself is OK but when you rely on agency staff to keep you informed - total waste of time!
Continually say what they think you want to hear. Employees have to apply for a day off at least two weeks in advance and then wait to see if they are approved. There is a ridiculous points system in operation to keep you in line but surprise, surprise you can be fired at the drop of a hat!
Pros
none
Cons
everything about transline's modus operandi

mind numbing
wharehouse operative (Former Employee) - Dunfermline, Fife - 12 January 2017
very boring, mind numbing even. regularly paying off people. useless agencies. the agency ruins this job as there are targets and EVERYONE cheats... so cheat or get fired for not meeting targets.
Cons
agencies

Not paying money owed
Warehouse Assistant (Former Employee) - Dunfermline - 16 May 2016
After working for Transline for 2 months, I left noticing I had been charged for travel when I had never used the bus service once. I had also been repeatedly told I will get my Christmas bonus the next wage after not receiving it with the rest of my team. Its been 5 months now and every time I phone they still tell me it will be sorted the next week, managers have failed to call me back also. Don't recommend if you want to avoid being messed about.
Pros
Good collegues
Cons
They dont pay you

picker (Current Employee) - dunfermline - 16 January 2016
i norm do night shift so get picked up i n glasgow at 5.30 i finish at 7 in morn but last monday the bus left at 6.45 transline left app 18 of us waiting till 9.00 for a bus the company knows how many people came from glasgow and should have liased with amazon for stop times to ensure the workers got home. i would also like to add that 1 week later i could npt get to work as the bus was full and left 5 mins early there were 6 people when tne bus left but by the departure time it was between 16 to 18 people waiting to go to work i personaly left a message with the branch number and the sick line but still waiting on a reply when i went to work the next evening was told i am on final warning even though i have never been warned before , but that is transline it is discraceful the way buses have been run from glasgow thay might be momitered now but for the last 7 weeks what have you done ??? why do people have to be crushed trying to get to work or home agaim ??? why cant you put busex on fpr nu.ber of staff going to work or let buses go 15 mins before the end of a shift ??? it is a long day day without all these hickups and tnere is never anything the company can do. i like my job and tne company i hate the travel when it dosnt pick me up or leaves me stranded i even tried to get to work on 4th jan it cost me personaly from glasgow to dinfermline on train snd bus but when i called work to say i was late i was told to go home. i will prob get the sack on monday night for this but all i want is answers that will prob never come
Pros

customer service (Former Employee) - Dunfermline - 7 January 2016
They are a terrible company to work for. None of the staff seem to know what they are doing they messed around multiple peoples wages. Made up story's in relation to earning capacity and are all round a massively poor company to work for. I couldn't recommend more that you stay away from this company at all costs
Pros

Waste time
picking (Current Employee) - Dunfermline - 26 November 2015
I'm working for transline they just care about money, using people. No point work there if u from Glasgow or any other cities they provide transport but charge for this to much.if u working 40 h u in total after tax getting 190 which is even less than work for a min wage in any places in glasgow and u no wasting time, even if u working 6 days a week which is 60 hours u getting after tax and bus 320. It's worth work there just if u living no far from work, but if u from far it's just waiting your money and time

Tempting Amazon
warehouse operatives (Current Employee) - Dunfermline - 24 November 2015
Packing parcels 10 hours a day on a 4 day shift. It may sound daunting but it is actually not as hard as it sounds depending which area you are in.
Overall I enjoy working at Amazon but I do have an issue with the Transline Agency who a located inside the building. I honestly have nothing positive to say of them. When you ask them a question they look at you as if you don't care. Happy to chat among their own Transline staff while employees queue up waiting to get assisted by them. All grumpy and moody, never ever seen any member have a smile on their faces ( not kidding ). If you've worked in Amazon through Transline then you will understand.
Pros
Friendly Staff, free tea coffee resulting long queues.
Cons
Seriously need more breaks if your standing all day!

Working at Amazon
Pack (Current Employee) - Dunfermline, SCT - 26 June 2014
Typical Day would consist of being briefed and then straight to packing, which would involve the items being securely packed and all relevant information being placed within the package. I learned how to get myself into a routine which helped to increase my productivity. Within each crate of items I prioritised the items as to get as much space as possible to manoeuvre and achieve a safe environment for myself and others around me to work in. The hardest part of the job was to ensure that the targets were met each hour, as different types of packaging took different amounts of time. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to achieve the targets as this gave me a sense of personal accomplishment.
Pros
Good hours and salary
Cons
Competitive Targets
