Alway been badly run from top down
Rather not say (Current Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 27 October 2023
Job used to be straight forward everyone at lower levels work hard but they keep appointing CEO and Directors who are junk. Why give the top job to a CEO who ran the worst performing HA in Wales, Bron Afon. Other directors no better revolving door of the incompetent and ambitious. We the workforce and tenants deserve better. Seem others think the top management, board, WAG or regulator should know well truth is they all do but turn a blind eye to it, as they only come up with new 2 year improvement plans which run consecutively which is how they all justify doing nothing.
Pros
Regular wage but little else
Cons
Our employer is badly organised, failing tenants and staff. Would say that top management should be ashamed of themselves, but at £100k+ a year they are to busy reaping the benefits to have any shame

Toxic
Prefer not to say (Former Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 13 April 2023
Completely toxic environment filled with people that are constantly trying to one up each other. Apparently there are opportunities for learning and development but none are ever offered and when asked for, they're refused. Career enhancement is based on a popularity contest rather than work ethic. Management needs a shake, out of touch with what the employees actually need to prosper, multiple members of staff on long term sick and it's no wonder why with the culture of the place. Everyone scared to say anything that might rattle a few feathers even though it is desperately needed there. No idea how some of these people came to be in the jobs that they are in, no empathy towards tenants or employees. Shocking.
Pros
The pay is reasonable.
Cons
Toxic culture, no work life balance, management who have no care towards employees well being at all, the list could go on

Bullying toxic workplace
Housing Officer (Former Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 18 February 2023
Toxic work environment with poor communication from management. A lot of bullying going on by management and when voiced nothing ever gets done and it is brushed under the carpet No guidance given and there’s strong favoritism and gossip culture. Especially in housing/NHM/Housing support.

Work Life Balance
Finance Assistant (Current Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 21 July 2019
Enjoyable, relaxed and great place to work. I’ve found the company to be quite employee focused, but I think that depends on the manager. Flexible working a bonus as there is no clock watching and very supportive manager, unfortunately the communication within the company is lacking
Pros
Relaxing and enjoyable place to work
Cons
Communication is poor and some managers are not aware of issues that relate to their team

Helps pay the bills
Prefer not to say (Former Employee) - Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff - 12 November 2018
management say all the right things, provide training for staff but in reality there is no support there for staff, they have given you the training now get on with it. Those working in the office seem to be happier in their job roles but the majority out in the sticks are forgotten about, they dont get the free tea, coffee and fruit, all the activities that go on in the offices yoga etc are meant for all staff but how are those outside the office meant to do these things in their lunch break , so you have 2 levels of workers.
If you can nod your head at the appropriate times and your face fits you will be ok, but those that try and stand up to things soon leave the company , they are here today gone tomorrow!!!!
Higher Management live in their own little bubble either they havent a clue whats going on lower down in the company or are choosing to turn a blind eye to everything, when questioning them on anything if its in their interest to answer they will otherwise they conveniently forget to reply !!!
If you are desperate for a job take it , get the training and move on to a better company that will appreciate the work you do, you only have to look at the staff turn over to see that this is what seems to be happening and that includes the COE position
Pros
fellow workers
Cons
management

It's not bad
Voluntary Worker (Current Employee) - Pontypridd - 26 February 2018
I work at Trivallis voluntarily two days a week. Every day is the same at the moment, painting houses ready for people to move in to their new homes.
My colleagues are easy to get along with and we all help each other out to get the jobs completed to the highest possible standards.
The hardest part of the job for me is not getting paid as I am having to take on part time work to see me through my time at college.
The most enjoyable part of the job is being out in the workplace, gaining experience and meeting new people.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Unpaid work
