Great team and managers
Health and Safety Consultant (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 17 August 2023
Management are great, very supportive and encourage progression within their team but they have no say in pay rates, this is up to top senior directors who don't know the consultant's within the teams. It can be frustrating trying to get a respectable pay for the effort you put in.
Pros
Remote working. Freedom to organise own workload.
Cons
Poor pay

Good company
Project Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 22 November 2022
A good company to work for if you are looking for high profile clients and major projects and programmes. The salary doesn’t always match the type of work you do on your commission.
Pros
Great culture
Cons
Low salary

Senior Cost Engineer (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 12 January 2022
T&T are generally good place to work, and will look after their staff in terms of job security. They work on world class projects and have some great people at the professional level.

this was a complete waste of time and effort
Chief Cook and Bottle Washer (Former Employee) - Barnsley - 24 February 2021
It was like watching paint dry. The managers were sub human cardboard cut outs with no substance beyond jelly with performance as a jelly mould to suit.
Pros
no one notices that you're asleep
Cons
if they do notice you're asleep, they couldn't care less.

Jobs at Turner & Townsend Pty Limited
Badly managed in B'ham & EE
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 15 February 2021
'A terrible experience all round. Bad bullying and blame culture. No structured training, complete lack of organisation ability from management. The senior members of the team run the office like their own little club, offering no support to staff or management of projects then putting staff under pressure when higher management get involved, blaming the staff for the project failures' ALL TRUE . No training in what you need, lots of training in what don't need. You're used as a cash generator, no benefits and salary are below market rate.

Graduate Development Programme
Assistant Project Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 17 June 2020
The Graduate Programme is well structured though salary is not competitive given the market rate for University-leavers in other global consultancies.
Pros
Positive people
Cons
Limited advancement

Relaxed, fun, collaborative
Assistant (Former Employee) - Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands - 2 June 2020
While working on tasks, i was able to pluck ideas from other people and add them to my own vice versa. This allowed my ideas to be incredibly improved by the end of the first week. There is a level of competition in the firm which is nice whilst still keeping quite a relaxed but fast paced atmosphere which is perfect to work in.

Stressful and under appreciated
Assistant Accountant (Former Employee) - Horsforth, West Yorkshire - 3 March 2020
This may be due to the the role I was in but unfortunately there was a lot of expectation but no guidance and training given for me to excel in this role.
I was busy everyday which is how I like to work but at the same time, the amount of work being done compared to the job title and salary was not worth it.
There was no progression ladder there for me to become successful in this organisation which was the reason why I left.

Hierarchical and dictatorial
T&T promotes a great culture, but unfortunately does not practice it. Everything is a tick-box exercise. The sole focus is on clients, not staff.
Their appeal is high profile clients and projects.

Badly managed in Wilton.
Never officially given an introduction to a role. (Former Employee) - Wilton, North Yorkshire - 13 November 2019
A terrible experience all round. Bad bullying and blame culture. No structured training, complete lack of organisation ability from management. The senior members of the team run the office like their own little club, offering no support to staff or management of projects then putting staff under pressure when higher management get involved, blaming the staff for the project failures. Very negative atmosphere. Avoid!

Great people and fantastic office space
Personal Assistant (Former Employee) - City of London, Greater London - 16 September 2019
Great people and fantastic office space with a great view of St Paul's.
Secretarial wise not a lot of scope to develop your skill set and limited promotional opportunities.

Great experience but low pay as an intern.
Internship (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 19 March 2019
Insight into risk management by shadowing other colleagues.
Also did requirements management so I had to make sure that the engineers and constructers were following the guidelines of the contract for the Crossrail project so sometimes we would have to go onsite and see how the project was progressing and see if they are making the platforms the right size and their expected finish date to complete building the platforms and stations.
Pros
Experience
Cons
Long hours and low pay
