Repetitive Work but Great Colleagues
Warehouse Operative/Loader (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 18 November 2022
The work of a loader is fast paced and very repetitive loading up to 50 wagons per night but the colleagues are friendly and always helpful and the management was ok they don't bother you if you get on with the work.

Hardwork but good pay and early finishes
Class 2 hgv delivery driver (Former Employee) - Kingston upon Hull - 2 November 2022
A great company to work for. The management are helpful and easy to get on with. As a delivery driver you are left to get on with your day, usually finish early afternoon. The work is physical but the pay and benefits are really good.

Hard working but enjoyable
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 22 October 2022
Overall an enjoyable place to work. You have a mix of hard days and steady days depending on where you go. Some of the places you deliver to isnt the best having to drag cages over uneven surfaces and not been able to get close to the delivery point. You can have long days but they aint that often.
Pros
Early start so early finish
Cons
Not been close to some delivery points.

Hard work, tiring, early starts, multidrop, better than average wage.
Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 12 May 2022
Multi drop delivering food. Up to 20 or so deliveries a day. Local runs and further a field but always finished by 4 or 5. Not uncommon to finish early too. Most shifts start at 5 or 6 am. Trucks already loaded at start of shift. A lot of handballing and dragging heavy cages over uneven car parks. All other drivers are a nice bunch. All bonuses are achievable and its uncommon not to get them if your following company rules and not having accidents.
Pros
Competitive pay, nice team, free exercise early finishes
Cons
Early starts, hard work, tiring.

Avoid, an absolute joke
General Operative (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 2 February 2022
Lazy useless management, they bring their family in to get all the good jobs. Everyone else is ignored for promotion and given the worst tasks to do. Bigoted staff and very poorly organised. You never get any time off and the pay is poor.

Does your face fit if not don't bother
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Kingston upon Hull - 26 September 2020
Working at t/p has changed dramatically over the past few years it used to be a pleasurable workplace well paid and you were appreciated for your efforts. It has as many of your reviews have stated become a place of nepotism to the n,th degree, you are expected to bend over backwards to get the job done in return for time off in lieu(which along with holidays you can rarely book off).Their are the chosen ones who do little, abuse privilege and are protected. It will of course survive as managers drive forklifts ,pick and load with those underpaid menials who fall foul to toil.
Pros
None
Cons
toil

Busy workplace could be so much better
Driver (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 5 October 2019
Days are varied but more often than not enjoyable.
The management can sometimes be very unflexible and unapproachable, which is a shame. However they have the makings of a great team.
Hardest thing here is having to rely on other people to load your truck.
Most enjoyable part was meeting new people and dealing with happy customers.

Substandard
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 14 October 2018
Absolute joke of a company that take no responsibility for their staff, training poor, management unaware of what their job is and how to treat their staff, with this staff always treated and made to feel like you are just replaceable, certain people get treated with more respect, or just generally treated better than everyone else, if the face fits. It has got to be by far the WORST company I have ever had the unfortunate experience to work for. Therefore If you like zero job security, unachievable targets, a culture of fear and working hours where any breaks are frowned upon apply for Turner Price
Pros
Wages on certain jobs.
Cons
Management

Shocking Company, hard to progress in business.
Fruit & vegetable Picker (Former Employee) - Kingston upon Hull - 10 May 2018
Shocking place to work, the management are useless and only care for themselves or their family working there, impossible to grow in the business and nothing is ever done fairly, wages are never correct each month and when asked to check why have i had deductions they never get back to you.
Pros
the best part of working at turner price is clocking off.
Cons
Poor management, unfair.

Chaos
Picker/Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 22 December 2017
After working here for many years the company has gone from bad to worse. The management have a couldn't care less attitude - they don't care about staff welfare. They will refuse annual leave for no good reason, they expect you to work every bank hol when clearly it isn't needed. There are many H & S issues, no were near enough cages for picking. Morale is very low, the staff hate the management.
No pay rises for pickers but other staff such as drivers/office get increments, which causes friction. New management brought in, who in turn brought his teenage sons in and then replaced experienced managers with his sons. Provide uniform but expect to be wearing it for years as replacements are ordered but never appear. The whole operation as it stands is a complete and utter mess and is getting worse. Do not believe the job adverts about hours, its is false information. The night shift is supposed to finish at 6.30am but it rarely does and the never pay you overtime.
Pros
other warehouse operatives friendly
Cons
unpaid overtime, management, wage, H&s

Fun workplace but no job security
Loader/Unloader (Former Employee) - Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 9 October 2017
great set of people to work with but no job security. I was told to take some time off from my doctor and turner Price told me to return once fully fit. I returned to find out I had been sacked. The time off was needed so couldn't be helped.
Shift was supposed to be 22:00 - 06:30 but never once finished at 06:30 and don't get paid for the extra time due to been on salary
Pros
Good working atmosphere
Cons
Salary, Job Security
