The west coast of Barbados is beautiful – perfect beaches, warm water and hot sunshine. When searching for our inspiration, we went looking for the spirit of the Caribbean. In our search, we fell upon a tiny little bar on the beach run by one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet.

Despite being a beach bar shack with high barrel tables, it was the perfect way to spend an evening grazing over cutters and cocktails. It was the host who drew us in, with his warm welcome and energy.

Our founders discovered how fantastic bar dining can be – salt fish fritters, Mount Gay Silver with coconut water, Carib beer, flying fish fingers. We found our spiritual home – we found Turtle Bay. We wanted to recreate this amazing experience, and our first Turtle Bay opened its doors in 2010.

It is really that simple! For us food and drink are just two of our ingredients. We’re in the business of ‘Making People Happy!’

Simply put, Turtle Bay is driven to be the best place for a “Caribbean Good Time”.

Our Mantra of “Do the right thing, make it easy to be a team member and easy to be a guest.” Is embedded in everything we do. From your application, through the interview process and well beyond your initial 4 -6 week training period. We believe in going that extra mile from the start to make sure you love Turtle Bay as much as we do.

The only way is up as far as your career is concerned. Everyone wants to grow and progress in their careers & there are programmes in place for you to develop into your next role. We have various pathways to support your progression. The quicker its completed, the faster you progress!

The Caribbean is one of the most diverse places in the world and it is filled with cultural celebration. At Turtle Bay, we celebrate individuality, recognise differenced and embrace the culture of the Caribbean to deliver a magical experience for our guests - taking inspiration from the music, food, drink and of course, those chilled out vibes.

Fast paced, fun environment with energetic staff
Turtle bay has great opportunities for growth however during busy periods it's often lacking with progression and communication between staff and management. The staff that work there are brilliant and always full of energy allowing you to feel more welcome and accepted in the workplace. They cater to mistakes and train/show you how not to do it again instead of belittling you.

Near Perfect
Turtle Bay is such a different company to anywhere I’ve worked and the challenges I face are rewarding but can be slightly frustrating, joining a company with fresh ideas doesn’t always benefit, as there’s team who fight you internally every single day you’re in, I suppose once I can change the culture internally at my site things will be perfect, but the battles do take a lot out of you when you’...

Incredible brand, even better people!
Turtle Bay is a fast-paced business, so you need to be very adaptable. Management are incredible with a real focus on development and pushing you to the next level. The people that work with me are amazing. Perks are great - 70% discount, enhanced parental pay and discounts for high-street retailers.
