Fast paced, fun environment with energetic staff

Turtle bay has great opportunities for growth however during busy periods it's often lacking with progression and communication between staff and management. The staff that work there are brilliant and always full of energy allowing you to feel more welcome and accepted in the workplace. They cater to mistakes and train/show you how not to do it again instead of belittling you.

Working here was great as the staff are all really welcoming and accomodating. They are always willing to help and the training provided really does help you get to grips with the job

Near Perfect

Turtle Bay is such a different company to anywhere I’ve worked and the challenges I face are rewarding but can be slightly frustrating, joining a company with fresh ideas doesn’t always benefit, as there’s team who fight you internally every single day you’re in, I suppose once I can change the culture internally at my site things will be perfect, but the battles do take a lot out of you when you’re trying your hardest to improve a site.

The culture is tough to shake without a battle.

Turtle Bay is a fast-paced business, so you need to be very adaptable. Management are incredible with a real focus on development and pushing you to the next level. The people that work with me are amazing. Perks are great - 70% discount, enhanced parental pay and discounts for high-street retailers.

Fun and Engaging

Mainly work on weekends as they are the busiest days of the week. These days are good for those who enjoy staying spontaneous at work. I have learned how to work effectively within a team and have worked well in improving communication skills. Management are understanding and supportive. The workplace culture would be staying busy but having fun and learning something new everyday. Whether it's something a customer is up to or how to do something at work to make things more efficient (hard skills). The hardest part of the job would be when it's really busy usually Saturdays and it's bottomless hours. Especially from 3pm - 5pm. Customers can become a little impatient with their drinks but as long as you talk to them and reassure that they'll still have plenty of drinks it's all good. Long shift hours such as 12hr shifts are quite hard too, but you learn to adapt to it and you do get a decent break.The enjoyable part of the job is seeing the team, having a laugh during work. And even the customers can be fun to serve, you meet different people everyday and sometimes the regulars but it can be interesting as long as you learn to engage with them. Tips are always an amazing bonus too.

The vibe and the people make turtle bay. Learning cocktails is great aswell. I love the progression and how easy it is to rise through the ranks. I love this place

You get what you work for good hourly wage and everyone in the workplace is lovely. Working on the bar is enjoyable and probably made some great friends for life

All process are well planned by leadership , very difficult to meet the manager expectations in the kitchen. learn dishes and create that was new for me . it so hard to clean kitchen at the end of the shift.

Lots of work went into training us. Time was taken to ensure everyone was comfortable and confident in their positions. We get lots of discounts and the managerial team is warm and welcoming.

Fun place to work

Really enjoying my time here so far. Fun culture and lots going on socially. Company host events for all turtle bay staff to go and enjoy. I like the fact the role gives you the option to be more flexible by working from home as well as in the office.

Fast paced with opportunity

Working in hospitality is always stressful and you feel as if you’re working on the back foot. There is great opportunity to progress if you work hard. Long hours and you do end up taking work home sometimes but that comes with the role. I feel salary should be higher but I certainly do not feel undervalued. They took me to the Caribbean last as a reward!

Great life- work balance, the rota guidance for kitchen, floor or bar management team is called 4 days at the Bay, working 4 days, 3 days off can't want more than that😀
