Supportive and rewarding role
Tutor (Current Employee) - Crewe, Cheshire - 31 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedSelina was very supportive at the beginning, during and end of the role I took as a tutor. I was able to fit the role around my busy schedule at university and placement and was able to get in touch with Tutor Doctor Crewe if I needed anything. Nothing was ever too much. Rewards and benefits were given which was appreciated as I knew I was being valued.

supportive company to work for
Tutor (Current Employee) - Southampton - 24 March 2022
I really enjoy working for tutor Doctor. They introduced their systems well and the pay is fair. They give you independence and trust your judgments with your students, but are available for guidance should you need it. The only slight hiccup is the availability of hours. I wouldn't leave a job for this one, as you are only offered work if and when it's available.

Great part-time work
Tutor (Former Employee) - Kingston upon Thames, Greater London - 20 April 2020
Fantastic and flexible hours, completely decided by yourself. Brilliant online log system to track progress and working hours. Only thing I would say is that it is not a job you can do solely. It is fantastic part time to earn extra money and pays really well per hour, however unless you have a lot of students to teach in the same area, it can be difficult to gain enough hours per week.

Good place to work but, need more support for the tutors
Tutor (Former Employee) - Surrey - 9 October 2019
Tutor Doctor is a good place to work in general, respectful atmosphere and helpful admin team.
They need to provide more support (training, materials.. Etc) specially for first time tutors!! Or for tutors who aren't from teaching background.
Also the salary is low after you deduct the petrol and the tax you will be left with less than £5 / an hour!!!

Flexible and friendly
Tutor (Current Employee) - United Kingdom - 11 May 2018
More flexible and friendly than many other agencies out there. I only have minimum hours but good to build up confidence. Enjoy the variety. Most challenging part is coming up with lessons and resources. Good that they have a local focus.
Pros
Variety
Cons
Not enough hours available
