Not enough earnings

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The price that's given to passengers don't match what drivers are supposed to get after ubers commission cuts, unfortunately with the costs we cover the earnings are not enough to cover our existence.

Their customer service is rubbish

They don’t listen if you have any problem with passenger or any passenger make mess in car they charge but they don’t pay to drivers totally disappointed

Slow work, competative

You need to have like 3 companies on the go at the same time to earn a decent wage. You can't earn a living with uber eats, its solely for extra spending money.

Pros

Free drinks at KFC, daily payments

Cons

Drive around looking for work and get nothing, low pay

used to be better

No one to talk to, any issue takes 48hours+ to resolve the most straightforward paperwork issue can see you out of work for a week, no protection from fluctuations in the economy

Flexible and interesting

As a driver you get alot of flexibility whether when you should work and when not, so you can set your work time according to your other jobs not opposite

Cons

Uber Eats driver

Work flexibility is great, however pay can be low as minimum guarantee is low and jobs can be very slow if you work outside of the peak operating times.

Pros

Flexibility

Cons

Low pay

Very tiring and stressful job Due to low rates of pay in comparison to the day to day living and expenses.

The percentage CUT should be reduced to a lesser Percent for Drivers benefit. Having No transparency of how much Drivers are being CHARGED. IT varies from one job to another. Some jobs are charged at 25% and go upto 45%. It is a heartache feeling when DRIVERS are Robbed.

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?

Worthwhile 3 years

Did nearly 4000 trips in a nice area, never worked after 6pm so avoided any bad customers. It was a positive experience meeting lots of interesting people

Pros

Set own hours

Cons

Not always a lot of work

Okay place

It’s okay if you like flexibility , it can pay well if you work long hours . Expenses can be allot so you need to work hard . But you do get to see all of London

Not all it’s expected to be

The job is really flexible. You are your own boss with your own schedule. Bad thing about it is you have to pay for fuel, your running down your vehicle and have to watch out for ticket wardens as one ticket can cost you the whole day

Avoid

Your account can get blocked if a customer makes a complaint (uber does not care whether the complaint is true or not). Uber rates per trip are very low for drivers, most if not all of the jobs are not worth the hassle. They don't really care about drivers or well being of drivers.

Pros

Work when you like

Cons

Working for Uber

Less pay, customer favoured.

You're only making £3, an hour if you're lucky. They have hired too many drivers. There are too many costs, for things like insurance, and fuel. Not worth it.

Pros

None

Cons

Plenty, less pay, missing trips, and you don't get paid. They can ban your account, if customer complains, which they usually do, to get free food.

You get to be out on the road, meeting lots of different people.

Job is good if you like meeting new people everyday. work whenever you like, but having said that you will have to work a lot of hours if you want to earn decent money.

Pros

work whenever you want.

Cons

long hours if you want to make a good wage. High over heads.

Okay workplace

Good place to work in I enjoyed how you could choose when you wanted yo work and when it suits you but your are classed as a self employed so will have to do you own tax

Easy and not stressful the most of the time.

Sometime the app isn't precise. There are very few calls lately, especially in the morning and afternoon. The job is easy and not really stressful. It is a good job as a second job.

Very good

Something anyone should try. Love meeting new people. Most people are friendly but sometimes you get rude one. Just like in life. The tips can be good sometimes as well.

It’s fun if you like it

I’ve been doing it for two months now and it’s not too bad. As a second job is fine but I don’t recommend it as the main job. Overall it’s not too bad and

Pros

Flexible

Cons

Payment

Not bad

Not the worst company I suppose . But trying to get a hold of them can be an absolute nightmare very little response from them . Also quick to dismiss without justification
