Not enough earnings
Driver (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 9 January 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe price that's given to passengers don't match what drivers are supposed to get after ubers commission cuts, unfortunately with the costs we cover the earnings are not enough to cover our existence.

Slow work, competative
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Nottingham - 6 December 2022
You need to have like 3 companies on the go at the same time to earn a decent wage. You can't earn a living with uber eats, its solely for extra spending money.
Pros
Free drinks at KFC, daily payments
Cons
Drive around looking for work and get nothing, low pay

Uber Driver (Former Employee) - uk - 25 November 2022
No one to talk to, any issue takes 48hours+ to resolve the most straightforward paperwork issue can see you out of work for a week, no protection from fluctuations in the economy

As a driver you get alot of flexibility whether when you should work and when not, so you can set your work time according to your other jobs not opposite

Uber Eats driver
Uber Eats Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Birmingham - 19 November 2022
Work flexibility is great, however pay can be low as minimum guarantee is low and jobs can be very slow if you work outside of the peak operating times.
Pros
Flexibility
Cons
Low pay

Very tiring and stressful job Due to low rates of pay in comparison to the day to day living and expenses.
Drivers Mate (Current Employee) - Manchester - 4 November 2022
The percentage CUT should be reduced to a lesser Percent for Drivers benefit. Having No transparency of how much Drivers are being CHARGED. IT varies from one job to another. Some jobs are charged at 25% and go upto 45%. It is a heartache feeling when DRIVERS are Robbed.

Not all it’s expected to be
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - London - 27 October 2022
The job is really flexible. You are your own boss with your own schedule. Bad thing about it is you have to pay for fuel, your running down your vehicle and have to watch out for ticket wardens as one ticket can cost you the whole day

Avoid
Uber Driver (Current Employee) - London - 14 October 2022
Your account can get blocked if a customer makes a complaint (uber does not care whether the complaint is true or not). Uber rates per trip are very low for drivers, most if not all of the jobs are not worth the hassle. They don't really care about drivers or well being of drivers.
Pros
Work when you like
Cons
Working for Uber

Less pay, customer favoured.
Driver (Former Employee) - Greater Manchester - 13 October 2022
You're only making £3, an hour if you're lucky. They have hired too many drivers. There are too many costs, for things like insurance, and fuel. Not worth it.
Pros
None
Cons
Plenty, less pay, missing trips, and you don't get paid. They can ban your account, if customer complains, which they usually do, to get free food.

Sometime the app isn't precise. There are very few calls lately, especially in the morning and afternoon. The job is easy and not really stressful. It is a good job as a second job.
