Reviews about Pay & benefits for Taxi Driver at Uber
Not enough money, long hours and to many drivers, way to many!
Taxi Driver (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 24 April 2023
It used to be good, honestly I've had to get a second job working 5 days a week. I only do this as a part time business. It's really dead these days, your waiting around for a job over an hour. You go out at peak times and your just stuck in traffic, in 4 or 5 hours your lucky making 40 quid. Main reason is, TOO MANY UBER DRIVERS, I won't recommend doing this as a full time job. The wear and tear, petrol, insurance, all the council fees yearly, Mot etc, your not left with much. My employed job has kept me going, with uber i would have been homeless. (you think I'm joking?) I wish I was joking, I won't have been able to pay my mortgage.
Cons
Too many drivers, long hours, costs.

Good company
Cab Driver (Current Employee) - London South East, Greater London - 7 April 2023
Works available as long as put the hours in, also gives you free time to spend with family and loved ones especially if you have a young family that is a big plus

Don’t work for uber
Taxi Driver, Metro taxis (Former Employee) - Stockport - 31 July 2022
Terrible company to work for rates to low and their commission is to high. All uber care about in making profit for themselves, do not work at Uber get a different job
