Productive and engaging

The work atmosphere is conducive and safety precautions measures in full adherence. No room for drunk workers for better work ethics. Safety equipments eg gloves, helmet and harness are worn while on duty.

Supportive workplace with plenty of room to explore and learn.

I've only worked there a year for placement, but being part of the beverage side it comes in waves on how busy you can get. However, everyone is very supportive of your work and how you are managing your workload.

Management Structure Struggles

A recent change in structure was overdue but still the communication and the responsibility of those higher up in management is poor.Nobody really cares, there's no passion from people, its hard to continue to be motivated and go the extra mile when there's no incentives or passion and gratitude.

Commitment to quality

The company was very focused on ensuring the quality of the product at all times. Everyone knew their responsibilities & they had the authority to stop a product if they thought that there was an issue. This often happened as it was better than having complaints.

Pros

Great colleagues across all shifts

Cons

Some managers were a pain, though they left.

Was Good now going downhill!

The company was up until recently fairly decent to work for. Now with the implementation of a new grading structure "the next level" in pay in unattainable. Recent 1 to 1's across the site have been 99% negative for staff. Not very motivating and has created negative morale amongst staff. The idea of Grading was supported by the union, however it seems that the opportunity to progress is no longer there and the company is using it to cut pay by having staff on the lower grade.

Allright

Very flexible working hours, allows you to manage your time accordingly, can't complain there, but pay for what they ask is seriously low—also, no progression, just lots of empty promises to keep you going. They rather employ someone externally than promote their own staff.

Pros

Work/Life balance

Cons

Pay

extremely flexible working environment

However, in a purposeful company the teams luck of purpose. Although the salary is satisfactory there is luck of recognition. Luck of progress and the projects are poorly organized. Transparency, is on the paper as the organisation has stack in the hierarchical structure unfortunately.

Not completely honest about the role and where it was going

Good benefits but poor management, processes and long hours. Colleagues were nice but always super stressed with no time for anything. Training was non existent.

Pros

Good benefits and WFH

Cons

No support or training, management didn’t know how to help or want to

Good place to learn but low pay

Great place to learn and gain new skills. Global friendly team. You are given responsibilities very quickly. But depending on the role, the job can be very stressful and you are always under a lot of pressure. You are expected to work on too many things at the same time and reporting to different people, so your line manager has no real visibility of your workload. Good performers are stretched too thinly. Poor onboarding program, all the learning is on the job, there is no structure. The salary is very low compared to other similar companies. Career progression is difficult and takes a long time. No meritocracy, they value internal experience above external. Team restructurings occur every 1-2 years and there is high turnover of staff to other roles, so it's difficult to build relationships and expertise and learn from others.Overall, a good place to work for a couple of years to build skills, but not for long-term career plans.

Stressful and draining

Work force are mostly nice to work with and help each other, a select few are bullies because they are friends with management witch is how you get role as team leader or shift manager. management/HR/health and safety is a absolute joke and running the place in to the ground, they have no people skills at all and bully people in to doing two people's jobs due to short staff and due to staff leaving and jobs not being replaced witch has a knock on effect of more people leaving. Expected to rush around like a headless chickens then blame you if anything happens saying you shouldn't rush. Use to be the best place to work and you would struggle to get a job there now no one wants to come there or start and do a couple of hours and walk out or quit within a few days/weeks

Pros

Good team mates

Cons

Management/HR/health and safety, lack of respect and appreciation.

Great collegues "some" until you go to break and back stab you.

If you go with Manpower you will die with Manpower or sack you randomly or If you have a family memeber ( or lick better ) working at Uniliver you might get a full time job .

Pros

Pay

Cons

Family company

Promote work life balance, but if you suffer from stress you are out ..

Seen a few colleagues suffering from stress, they were the first out of the door in any ( and often) restructuring..... Sadly the company isn't what used to be, lower management and middle would ensure you are out of the door if suffer from any mental health issue ( seen at least 4 colleagues)

Pros

Flexibility

Cons

Stress out and depression and you are out
