Not the greatest place in the world, but you can survive there
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Felixstowe - 15 November 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe work environment is ok I guess. Problem is that managers simply don't seem to care about employees, there is no effort to train new employees or help them to catch on in the warehouse. You are left to find your own way around, they only focus on their "core" employees and the rest of you are literally place holders, no real sense of belonging.
Pros
Free parking, no weekend work
Cons
8am-6pm

HGV Class 1 Driver (Former Employee) - Norwich - 18 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Being away from the office. Hours that suitable due to circumstances. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Their unreliability, failure to operate with in the guidelines What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Everyone is so stressed out, managers put the blame on lower graded staff for their own down falls . Failure to operate in a safe and appropriate manor. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Mad house from start to finish!

Warehouse Administrator (Current Employee) - Felixstowe, Suffolk - 15 November 2023
Great company to work for with impeccable work ethics. People are friendly and helpful and the working environment is the best I have worked in to date. I do feel the pay is a little below average but there is a yearly bonus based on personal and company performance.

The world of nepotists
CRM Analyst (Former Employee) - Tilbury, Essex - 26 September 2023
All I can say is Nepotism is in charge of Tilbury especially the ones who manage the CRM department, I was told I wouldn’t have a future at Uniserve for numerous amount of reasons (which were all lies). The only advice I can give is if you don’t have a family or friend that works at uniserve before you join, just save yourself the hassle and don’t join as the moment you upset someone, they will eventually chase you out the company. Furthermore they give terrible training, I was told I’d have 1 month worth of training however they had only given me 1 weeks worth of training.
Pros
Nepotists
Cons
Managers are liars

Overall a great place to work
Advisor (Current Employee) - Upminster - 9 March 2023
The working environment here is fast paced but you are given the required levels of support to do your job. There are clear opportunities to learn and progress and these seem to be open to everyone. Management are visible and approachable and often ask how things are. There is a lot of change but positive change for the most part and teams are kept up to date.
Pros
support, flexibility and opportunities to learn and progress
Cons
holidays and pay

Bad company to work for
HGV Class 1 Driver (Former Employee) - Warrington - 13 November 2022
You get paid annual salary based 47 hours a week but you end up working 50-60 hours every week with extra hours not paid, In short you end up working nearly 40 hours a month for free. I Was put on a 6 month probation when I first started and was almost in breach of W.T.D every week. Management lie and expect you to work at least 2 13-15 hour shifts each week as well as planning nearly all routes at 10hours, I would not advise working for this company unless u doing so through an agency .

Great place to work
Talent Acquisition Partner (Current Employee) - Upminster - 4 November 2022
I joined Uniserve 6 months ago and have not looked back. I have found my perfect job that allows me to use all the knowledge and skills I have and I am encouraged to do this. I feel very supported and could not wish for a better team to work with we are like a big happy family. My role is fast paced but I never feel under any pressure. I would highly recommended Uniserve as a great growing company to work for.

poor management
General Manager (Former Employee) - Tilbury, Essex - 2 November 2022
Family run business meaning to succeed in the company you need to be liked by them regardless of how you work or how good you are - they expect overtime everyday regardless if you have already completed everything. Not a nice culture at all, everyone talks about each other behind backs and everyone is cared of the bosses. Personally seen cases of people getting fired due to the family not liking them. they give good training
