United Utilities
United Utilities Employee Review
Awful
Customer Advisor Advanced (Former Employee) - Warrington - 16 November 2022
Awful place to work. No freedom of speech allowed, a very clicky culture which is full of snobs, under appreciated staff and welcome a knife in your back at any time without knowing or expecting. Low retention due to disgraceful support from Rulliowho

Good work life balance with only 1 Saturday worked per month. Stressful job though and management are not very good.
BILLING CUSTOMER ADVISOR (Former Employee) - Warrington - 9 November 2022
Decent pay for what it is, a call centre. Lots of different opportunities to progress but management are a bit clueless in helping you get there. Can be very stressful as you get a lot of unhappy customers. Good work life balance and most co-workers are nice to work with.

Good place to work only if you fit
Advanced Customer Advisor (Former Employee) - Warrington - 23 March 2022
Started working there or was nice you will meet nice people but a lot are double faced if you fit it won’t be a problem just be careful don’t share personal stuff with anyone be quite don’t speak with anyone unless you have to or you fit and you will be fine. There’s no job security if you need to go sick for a while they will try to get rid of you either gonna look at your stats or made up something so try to be perfect for the start. There are some really good managers you can be with there are some awful once that will try to screw you if you don’t fit. Hopefully youd get the nice once. If I were you I’d give it a shot as the money are decent the job isn’t hard and you do get some nice people but there is no job security for like 18 months until they give you a contract so keep your nose clean and be very careful otherwise you will end up sacked like me.
Pros
Easy job.
Cons
Double faced managers only some

Leadership is intent staying in the dark ages
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) - Warrington - 16 December 2022
Covid forced change on the company, change the company made kicking and screaming allowing it's staff to work from home. They never had more productive and happier staff. Keeping cars offs the road they were also helping support tackling climate change which is one of the things the leadership teams shout about for virtue signalling only. Now they're enforcing a minimum of three days in the office, not replacing staff everyone in the place has far too much work to do. They are looking to increase this back to four days. So after all the verbals they give about mental health, climate change, increase in productivity all of that is out the window to appease some very large egos at the top
Pros
Local
Cons
Expectation to take on work which should be done by two people if wanted done properly, but they expect you to willingly work 50hours plus for nothing
