HR Manager in Luton, Bedfordshire
on 15 September 2020
Overstretched team but so supportive, friendly and professional. Loved working here.
For the first time in a long time, I felt part of a really good team - even more remarkable given that it had been cruelly decimated a few years earlier and everyone was seriously overworked and stressed. But... real team feeling prevailed. A lot of emotional support for people. HR colleagues (peers and more junior) were collaborative, supportive and professional.

Needlessly stressful working environment
A typical day involves a significant amount of engagement with students about all sorts of matters because the university (incredibly) doesnt support.

Productive and fun placement
Great opportunity to build a professional CV. Also, there is the opportunity to work close to academics in order to deliver a common goal. Open days are full of fun and positive vibes.
