Casual hours, so is flexible and can work around your schedule, good job for sixth form students or people who can only work part time. Learn to improve customer service skills as you serve students at the college. Work with large variety of staff so is a sociable job. Job involves serving food, clearing up and setting up lunches, teas, drink receptions etc.

Excellent centre for learning

Working here is great if you like to be in a culturally diverse not for profit environment with like minded and well educated people. The salary for administrative staff is low and career progression is difficult.

Pros

free training and generous holiday and sickness leave

Cons

low pay and high workload

A very productive and great workplace to be in

Working in the laboratory was very hard and stressful at times due to the pressure of achieving the desired outcome. However, there was always a supportive network of people who were always ready to lend a hand.

Great place to do a PhD

Make sure to go out and meet as many inspiring and talented people as possible! Don't spend all your time working, that's not what makes cambridge great.

High quality work

Driven researchers dedicated to their work. Group gets along well and provides good community. Some supervisors can be difficult at times or not have enough time for their students if they are particularly busy.

Great Place

High workload for undergraduate students but the result is absolutely worth it! Best Part about studying at University of Cambridge is the amount of eye to eye contact with lecturers and other academics in weekly supervisions.
