Great colleagues but senior management out of touch. Varied work but not a lot of opportunities for promotion if you work in administration compared to academics

Not what I expected
Not what I expected. Could do with more interaction and more modern office. Working with no windows or daylight is not great. They don’t have flexible working hours.

Good place. Nice location. Great amenities. Interesting and diverse range of people. Atmosphere is welcoming. Helpful staff.IT department may occasionally let you down so dependence should be cautionary.

Toxic workplace
I joined during the pandemic and was never introduced to the team for 6 months. Within the team, there was constant fighting. The manager made inappropriate comments about the PhD student. There was no feedback given or clear direction. The atmosphere was very toxic.The training was sorely lacking and there was clear favouritism about the allocation of reagents and resources.
