Poor quality and outdated teaching. Only course of it's kind in the country and this monopoly unfortunately has made the course and it's teaching methods outdated and of a poor standard. Over emphasis on tutors being research-led rather than from industry is an issue.
usually a great place to work, most of the staff are great, flexible working hours, good progression. However some group management staffs method of managing leaves a lot to be desired.

Friendly staff and very supportive when learning new tasks such as operating telephone helplines lines for A-level students and when assisting with events like graduation as they provide training days prior to commencing the events.
There is no free parking for volunteers which can be pricey
As a postgraduate demonstrator I've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities available to me. Staff are wonderfully supportive and encouraging, they have helped me to grow and develop in my career providing invaluable feedback throughout.
A typical day included meeting with student and helping them with their daily activities within a university setting. I learned a lot about about caring for people, patience and using my own initiative.
Rewarding, relaxed and good income
unreliable job, you only have work while student is in university
