Utilita Glasgow
Sales Advisor (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 18 December 2019
Featured review
Utilita Energy selected this as a representative reviewbrilliant atmosphere always lively and great incentives to sell, when you first start your not expected to smash the sales targets straight away, managers actually spend their time and effort with you instead of most places giving you a target but not helping you reach it but it can be hard but for the money it’s good

Management are a joke, it`s a who you know culture to progress .Commission Pay is changed constantly downward if targets achieved . Micro managed and most new starters sacked . Hours extended and managers pressure you if they are missing their commissions.

Customer Service Advisor - Telecoms (Former Employee) - Remote - 10 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Can't think of any positives from my time working here. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Unrealistic and demanding managers. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Varies from department to department. Billing is the worst! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Try and get through with minimum stress!

Avoid at all costs, so much pressure put on all new starters and management doesnt know what they are doing, very toxic workplace, and refused to pay me my last paycheck when i left.

Good Collaboration Between Teams
Test Analyst (Former Employee) - Chandlers Ford, Hampshire - 26 July 2023
The majority of my time with Utilita was before 2020, i.e. in the office. Within IT Development, there was good collaboration between Teams enabling tasks to be completed efficiently. Friendly place to work.

Telesales (Former Employee) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire - 12 June 2023
Good place to work, no problems slotting in. Repetitive role, but you’re not taking any baggage home with you - once you leave the office you forget about it. Good first job.

Jobs at Utilita Energy
A good place but you need to have alot of confidence
Smart Energy Expert (Former Employee) - lancashire - 8 June 2023
I can say it's a good place with good people, but this isn't your regular answering business emails and working behind a till kind of role. There is a lot to it! They do warn you that no two days are the same and that it isn't easy. If you are not confident and not very good at sales it may not be for you as it involves approaching customers and sales.
Pros
1 Hour lunch, good pay, lovely team and company, flexible rotas.
Cons
No overtime and approaching customers.

Pressure, pressure and more pressure
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Chandlers Ford, Hampshire - 20 May 2023
You are expected to start work before you are paid to work. Staff must get logged in (This could take up to half an hour from the office) and be ready to take a call the second you are due to start work. You will be monitored at all times. After 3 weeks training we were put on the phones. At this time you realise that level of customer service expected from you is all but impossible to provide in the timescales expected. The role is the stressful and quite often very challenging emotionally. Staff and customer wellbeing is talked about a lot by the company but is unfortunately nothing more than lip service.
Cons
No job satisfaction. Stressful

Interesting
Call Centre Advisor (Former Employee) - Eastleigh - 3 May 2023
The training is good, fun and well prepared! It's more a mental work than physical work, so if you enjoy talking to people and being sat all day then is good😁👍🏾

Avoid At All Costs
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Chandlers Ford, Hampshire - 21 April 2023
Basically a prison camp with wardens separating the advisors in blue t shirts with the 'important' people in dress down Managers have not got a clue with regards to duty of care either also 40 hour week which hardly any company enforces nowadays

Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Southampton - 19 April 2023
Pay wasn’t bad but I had a mental breakdown working here as it felt like we were intentionally putting people into debt to have them on the hook. If you can deal with people crying on the phone this will be great if you can’t it will be horrible.
Pros
Salary not bad
Cons
Company puts people in debt

Meter Installer (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 4 April 2023
There not the worst nor the best have some silly rulings in place like can’t park van at home before 5pm so you have to go park up at McDonald’s even if they don’t have any work for you?
