Everyone at the company was amazing from managers to TL's. Days could get slightly repetitive and systems need updating but overall amazing culture and management really try to look after everyone

Not worth the stress

What is the best part of working at the company? There isn’t any. Stressful no support What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Nature of the calls Old fashioned systems No suiccide caller training No emotional support What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not good fast paced and roles change weekly and compliance changes weekly What is a typical day like for you at the company? Repetitive, stressful, dealing with emotional customers. Lots of pressure, micro managing

I've found Utility warehouse to be very supportive with great training and opportunities. Overall it's been a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend if you're looking for an additional income that doesn't interfere with the day job!

Best place to work
Technical Customer Support (Former Employee) - Remote - 18 September 2023
Working remotely, having daily team meetings was excellent. A nice time to build team rapport. Everyone was always up for a laugh and can always get in touch with your team leader or any members of other teams. Management were very friendly and personal mental health was on top of their agendas. Hours were flexible. Good progression.

Regular team outings, gift vouchers. Brilliant mental health support.

Customer services (Former Employee) - Remote - 17 August 2023
Worst company to work for pay is ok Micromanagement is a disgrace constantly smart meters this and that. Management are useless If you value your sanity I'd stay clear it's no surprise they're mass hiring every other day no one stays you'll be pulled into a meeting and have a disciplinary against you for taking a toilet break

Good company overall
Energy Advisor (Current Employee) - Home Based - 27 July 2023
Good company to work for, pay is I'd say below average for what your expected to do as it can be a very taxing job and now we're expected to deal with broadband and mobile queries as well as energy but havent had a pay increase to reflect the extra responsibility and skillset required. The support is okay, although it seems hard sometimes to get support for some of the more complex issues. I feel the training model could be better to ensure all advisors and seniors are better equipped. But overall it is a good company to work for with lots of opportunities for progression and its definitely somewhere you can build a career. I've been here for 18 months and I plan on being here for years to come and looking forward to developing my knowledge and exploring other aspects of the business.

Highest Turnover
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Burnley, Lancashire - 11 July 2023
Training was good, however it is very stress inducing. There is a high turnover and it is a very complex job. No support when it comes to compliances, expectations is very high based on low wage. When extra training was given, no extra was provided to take on more service lines. Probation was based on your past and not on the actual monthly reviews, not enough information was given when trying to terminate contract. A lot of favouritism in the work place, if you don’t be nice to managers you won’t go far and they will discriminate you with others. The advisors don’t get enough support from managers, managers are never there to answer their enquiries, always giving us negative feedback and never talks about the positive feedback enough. They will always confuse you with the negative feedback more to say you’re not doing enough but you have been given positive feedback. Only care about certain advisors birthday but not others, when it comes to money as well. Pretty much an unfair work place to work with.

Management are not fair

Unless you are friends or you lick the management, you will targeted, victimised and your life will be extremely miserable. They expect you to work like a dog, whereas their ‘favourite’ get away with anything

Hit or miss
Technical Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) - Remote - 15 May 2023
Some days you'll have back to back calls, which is very stressful. Other days you'll have long periods of time between calls. You're expected to up skill after a few months of working (UWCS and Mobile), but not given any financial incentive or reward. Just means you'll be taking on more work.
