Productive team

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It has a lovely team and everything in there works efficiently. All work assignments are based on reasonable scheduling, and you have plenty of freedom as long as you can meet maintenance goals

Graduates - Avoid this place

Graduates should avoid Venn Group, and any other recruitment agency for that matter. The working culture is unhealthy, as your product is to push candidates into jobs they might not even want. If you really want to try sales, go for a company that sells an actual product e.g. software. Although chances are it won't be much better - sales in general promotes a toxic mindset in workers.

Lovely place to work

The people make it - great place to work and loads of opportunity to progress. It is hard work, but that is no different to any job in recruitment. Highly recommend

Poor Communication and Holiday

This was my first temping role and will be my last.Having always been in permanent employment, I secured a position via this agency following a need to leave my previous employment. The holiday pay is a joke a couple of pounds on top of your hourly rate does not equal nor compare to having a set number of days holiday entitlement which is paid for. They caked me once during my assignment and never bothered checking in to see how things were going. I believe a lot of recruitment agencies now do this holiday top up over actually holiday entitlement. Personally, I think a person is better off securing a contracted role or permanent work where they can have more benefits and protection. Week never temp again.

Pros

None

Cons

So called holiday pay

Zero job security - or answers

You should be prepared to be let go without reason, if you choose venngroup for your employment. Awful company, with a commitment to their clients and not their emoloyees. Good at finding new placements thought, but would not trust them at all. Keep your cards close to your chest and use another company. Some of the management you speak to tell you completely different things depending on the date, time and weather.

Great Place to Work

Excellent opportunities for progression and training from day 1. A really supportive environment where managers seek to get the best out of you. Great social culture overall

Avoid at all costs

I was given a role and was advised id have to travel from up north to sheffield to ensure someone in theor IT team could get me access to everything to fulfill my role. I was told to hand in my notice which i did and spent £300 getting to and from the location. After a week of employment with no access to any of the companies system i was told id be let go as i wasnt able to work. I explained to venn group the only reason i travelled so far was so my manager could give me access to everything i needed. Venn group are now refusing to pay me for the past week despite me telling them i wasnt comfortable leaving my last role until we was all set up for me to work. They assured me i wouldnt be penalised for any delays but are now refusing to pay me. I have a few colleagues i put forward for this role whi have all decided to avoid this agency due to the stress they have caused.

Fraudsters

Worked as a support worker they illegally rolled up holiday pay and also delayed equal pay stating my job had changed when it hadn’t. When queries offered no support, senior consultants not knowledgeable and are only interesting in making money off you... avoid avoid avoid

Not a pleasant place to work

I feel that the management within this company are inconsiderate and dictate rather than lead and motivate. I am thankful for the experience but I would never work there again.

Productive workplace

I really like working as a Credit Control Administrator, because no day is the same. Important is to pay attention to details, to be punctual and think outside the box. The hardest part is that sometimes is very stressful and I am overwhelmed by work and you can't predict how your day will look like, but I like my job and I really enjoy the time when I resolve the issue.

Most unprofessional manager I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Some wonderful kind hearted souls there, as well as some vindictive sadistic characters too. Unfortunately I found my way onto the team with a terrible manager who had no patience what so ever. Fake people & unnerving atmosphere, with backstabbers behind every corner; which is to be expected in a corporate office in London. You could have a great base here if you find yourself with the right support and team, but roll the wrong dice... you'll be sorry. Contracted hours are 8:30 - 18:00, but your expected to work until 8:00 am 6:30pm minimum with no overtime. Leaving or arriving at your contracted times is hugely frowned upon. You don't get breaks, except for a break to go and purchase food, which you are then expected to eat at the desk.

Cons

Long hours, Short/ 0 lunch breaks, Poor management

Beware - con merchants

BEWARE - CON MERCHANTS - outright take money you are legally entitled to and then flatly deny (several times) that is what they are doing. Taking your holiday pay under the guise of rolled up holiday pay (they deny this but essentially that is exactly what they are doing), after repeated denials on the phone to me that they were doing this, it took me threatening to contact the Citizen's Advice Bureau with my pay slips and going to HR for the company I was working for until they finally reimbursed me my legally entitled holiday pay but only after having the nerve to complain to me that I was making THEM look bad to their client! ROLLED UP HOLIDAY PAY is morally wrong and illegal. They know this but knowingly operate under the pretence that if only a small proportion of their work staff challenge them, they are still making a killing financially by essentially picking on the vulnerable in society: people working on low pay, with little work rights until they are taken on permanently by the company they are temping for, to leech off their work staffs legally entitled holiday pay which means should you ever require a day off work, it goes unpaid, because Venn Group see fit to TAKE the money YOU are entitled to, to line THEIR pockets. DO NOT ACCEPT THIS, know your rights, challenge them and take legal advice from the HR company you are working for and then report them to the ombudsman.
